Given the huge crit bonus Necro will be getting, Khajiit may be BiS anyways.

Dunmer if you want stam, Dunmer if you want mag, Dunmer if you want healing, Dunmer if you want crits. You can never go wrong with Dunmer, although they do get outperformed in some cases, they are a safe pick for any roll and spec.
This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.

I would say Dunmer since they get bonus to stam and mag, and theyre also natural arseholes so they're easy to play as evil.
Playing your character the way your character should play is all that matters. Play as well as you can but never betray the character. Doing so would make playing an mmoRPG pointless.

If you want a guessing choice, dinners and Khajiit, for sure. Very balanced hybrid bonuses. Khajiit would be my choice for the tanking aspect, but dunmer wouldn't be bad either for that.

Breton. Breton is a strong DPS and healer because of the sustain and the resists and ability to cast nonstop make it a good tank race as well. I actually prefer breton on my warden tank and it is absolutely great on my sorc dps. Most healers play breton. If you want to be able to swap between mag and stam DPS however, it is not the way to go (go dunmer).

If you cant decide, go with generalists. Dunmer and cats are good(non tanking). Imperial, nord and argonian are decent too(less dps, more tanking). All of these classes work in pvp.

I’m a khajiit on my warden but I would recommend dunmer because they are a little better imo. But they don’t get a tail so there is that.
    PvP needs more love.

Each and every race can do their own take on it.
Do whatever feels most fun playing for YOU!

Me, I am currently considering my options... Altmer banshee-style magica caster? Argonian stamina tomb raider cultist? Imperial death knight tank? Or maybe... one of them for each alliance if we get enough character slots?
    Guess we shall see...

Dunmer and Khajiit are the two races who do stamina and magic just as well.
However an race you don't like will become an bank alt, they tend to do low dps :)
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

    Imperial. Most balanced one.
Skill reduce is always handy/ it reduce ultimate cost too.
Extra health wont hurt/ neither 1% extra gold inc.
Stamina is always usefull no mater what build you play.
And because every build necro can have use all 3 resources, Imperial Red Diamond pasive is gold.
Imperial, nord and argonian are decent too(less dps, more tanking).
Inperial is top tier dps race

I'd choose dunmer cuz they are good enough and ready to change to whatever you want, in case you get bored. Good balanced hybrid bonuses.

Short answer: Argonian. More importantly Veeskhleel-Tzel Argonian (Ghost People) and be a through and true Body Snatcher for your Necromatic needs

    Long Answer: Argonian
    https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Tribes_of_Murkmire:_Ghost_People

I write these words by candlelight. My entourage was on its way to Stormhold when our guide suddenly ordered us to stop. He sniffed the air and wrinkled his nose, declaring that we'd strayed too close to "Veeskhleel-Tzel," as if that explained everything. We heeded him, but I pressed for more of an explanation as we corrected our course. Our guide was reluctant to speak more on the subject, but after a great deal of convincing, at the cost of many more of my possessions than I would have hoped, I finally got an answer.

The "Ghost People" are a tribe native to Murkmire, and they appear to have a rather horrid reputation, as far as I can tell. He only spoke of them in hushed tones, after glancing into the shadows. He claimed that the Ghost People live entirely in the dark, only leaving the Deepmire to stalk the night and abduct the unwary. Though he'd never seen one in the flesh, he claimed that they are so pale you can see down to their bones. If you've ever imagined what keeps Argonian children up at night, picture that and you'll have a pretty good idea. As unwelcoming as they sound, I'll admit that I wanted to know more about this unusual tribe. Much as I might want to go directly to the source, I opted to limit my inquiries to other locals who were willing to speak on the Veeskhleel.

What I learned that that the Ghost People are shrouded in mystery, even among the locals, and the rumors surrounding them are abundant. Of all the wild stories I hear about the Veeskhleel, two things seem certain. You can spot them by their pale, white scales, and they have a sour reputation as "dead stealers" and kidnappers. The distaste for grave robbing is something I could certainly understand but given how little attachment Argonians in Murkmire place on permanence I was surprised that it was taboo to them as well. When I asked my guide about this, he told me that it isn't just the bodies that the Ghost People steal. It's believed that they bury the corpses among the roots of their Hist and perform profane rituals to the steal the departed souls from their tribes. To them, there are few greater taboos.

As I sit here pondering dreadful necromancy in the dark, I can't help but imagine luckless travelers rising out of the shallow water by the dozen, covered in mud swollen with rot as my lone candle gutters out. We should be setting out at first light. It can't come soon enough to chase away this black night and the pallid Ghost People.

Why worry bout BiS race when all BiS races have over saturated and over done cliche trope about them and gonna spawn thousands of pop culture meme names. Go with the only correct choice; Argonian, with soul shriven skin and deck out in a mixture of Elder and Mezzatune styles sporting stylish Skulls and Bones for days.

Khajiit and Dunmer does both magic and stamina, stamina builds are also more resistant to class nerfs.
Grinding just make you go in circles.

I'm going Khajiit, since I already have a Dunmer DK, and Khajiit are the most "accepting" of Necromancy in the lore.

Khajiit is IMO BiS for most types of Necromancer. The crit execute passive gives upto 100% crit chance in the execute ranges, meaning Khajiit Crit boost significantly effective.

There is a misconception that Orcs/Altmer crit harder than Khajiit but it is quite wrong in most regular scenarios. Beyond a low threshold of 6.5k effective weapon/spell damage(Weapon/Spell Damage+Max Resource/10) for Crit Dmg Mod of 1.8, Khajiit is always better for it. The lower your current Crit Dmg Mod, the better it gets. In PvP, the Crit Dmg Mod is decreased rapidly in Impen on opponents, giving Khajiits the edge in average damage of all races as long as your build has at least 40% Crit Chance. From my testing, Khajiit Stamcro is equaling Orc Stamcro in PvE parses with a slight more room for error due to added sustain.

Necromancer has tons of Crit Chance and even their Crit Chance healing passives of upto 20% Crit Chance to heal, which further multiplies with the Khajiit Crit Healing passive for higher heals, in fact more than any other races like Altmer or Argonian, as apart from CP, no other passive in the game, effect crit healing.

I always play a caster and go with Breton, which is great for a magicka build.

But then, I like the way they look, which is just as important to me as wringing the last 1k of dps out of my character.
