I'll leave one I highly doubt anyone knows, if they do then they have done really random things.

For certain addons you will not be able to have a certain RGB value for a color. Putting in that exact RGB value will result in one of your colors to go down 1 point value. This will repeat another time but not after that. However, increasing another RGB by one will decrease that color only and then you will have the RGB value of the color you would want.

The level of monster shoulders you pull from the undaunted chests is determined by your level when you open the box - NOT by your level when you earn the key. My <CP160 chars save up any keys they earn while leveling until they are CP160.

Yep.... first key I ever got I used.... and realized that was the WRONG thing to do. Now I have a bunch save up for when (if?) I get to 160....

You can right-click NPC wares and choose the option to "Buy Multiple." Very useful when in need of lots of basic style stones, for example, when doing house deco. Just recently learned this from a guildmate and it's been really helpful!

Always amazed that few people know that you can narrow down MasterMerchant (trade addon) to very recent sales by holding down CTRL when the sales graph window for an item is open. Dig around in settings to assign your own keys and days of sales. You can set two ranges.

This really helps you price stuff effectively when some items are quite volatile in their values, for example when prices are going up, or coming down quickly.

When I'm doing Alchemy Surveys and there's no Cornflowers sometimes I'll run away out of range and come right back and sometimes it will randomly generate many more Cornflowers.

Not sure if most people know that?

This is also true for doing several surveys at a location - run a little way away & return, harvest next...

These are pve oriented, and I consider them good rules of thumb in general. Of course, there are always situations that are exceptions.

- Running away from an enemy doesn't stop it from hitting you, in most cases. You only succeed in making the enemy harder to hit for others (or force them to waste resources recasting skills), and yourself harder to heal. Unless you're in the red or need to move for a mechanic/to place or orient a skill, stay still.
- In a dungeon setting the only person in front of the boss should be the tank. Stand behind it.
- In a dungeon setting, stand in front of your healer. Yes, even if you're ranged.

if you dismount midjump, you maintain momentum until landing. Crouch/uncrouch midair is my preferred method because it doesn’t force you to draw weapons


Blocking effects fall damage


Not useful but interesting: while mounted and in third person view, turn the camera 180 degrees and go into first person, the go back to third person. You character and mount will have turned around to face the direction of your camera. This doesn’t work if unmounted


A slightly useful tip: if you get stuck in the animation of running on your mount, jump once and your character will go back to sitting

It took me a long time, and many many clicks (probably leading to the death of my first mouse) to realize that you can use the mousewheel to change item you are crafting, what crating material, and what style/trait stones.

Also the page down button on your mouse is by default the Autorun key.

Some skills in the champion tree are affected by something called "jump points", explained here.

Two main takeaways from this:

1. Most perks are front-loaded and offer diminishing returns as you dump in more points.
2. Fractional percentages are rounded down to the whole number. Example: 10.98% = 10%. Allocate the overflow points elsewhere or add another point to bump it to 11%.

The physics engine allows trimping in some situations. Before thieve's guild you could do it off of any downward slope. You can still do it on a mount in some situation, notably the dead tree near Aleswell mine can send you flying if you hit it just right.
