    Always.
    Each character of mine (currently 11) is accompanied by a non-combat pet.

    I also use them for decoration, though it is a real pity that even the biggest houses cannot hold more than a handful or two of them (I want my farm!!!).

    I do. Only because I got a ton for free/from collector's editions. I never buy them though or look at them at something worth spending money on. They're useless honestly. The only things they're kinda cool for is housing.

    Of course, my vvardvark reminds me of my corgi;
    For pet sorc I use a pony too increase "cavalry arrived" effect;
    For my "egyptian" granny cook I use mage guild cat for obvious reasons;
    For my main char which is mostly in light blue and bright steel colors I use that "friend gift" gryphon since it color matched and cool;
    For lizard I use a frog, well, they look like accustomed to each other..
    For my dunmer dw hybrid I use a panther, well, because Guenhwyvar

    only time they get dismissed (thanks to an addon) is when I'm in a trial. otherwise, I always have a companion with me, and what's more - I have pets assigned to different toons. for example - my nord gets all the bear cubs, my imperial sorc runs with kitties and so does my Breton templar, argonian predictably gets guars, etc etc. why? cause it amuses me.

    Normally in games I don't as I hate them, SWTOR this was especially true as it looks stupid to have these little pets following my Sith Lord.

    ESO I've used them, I try to fit pets with the theme of my characters.

    Can't understand why some people feel the need for a non functional 'pet' in this game - does absolutely nothing except cause an irritating distraction in open play and group content.

    Reckon it's mostly younger/casual players that are afflicted by this irrational compulsion.

    Makes much more sense if on display in a house or for role play.

    And I would like to use some of my ESO pets in real life, too.
    At the moment i can only use my dog in real life but I'd like to have a bear or the mech spider.

    I enabled one 2 years ago to see what it looked like, but I could never be bothered turning him off so he's still there. For the rest of my alts, nope, none. What is the point?

    All 10 of my characters, have a mix of some I got free (monkey from Beta, some of the Plunder Skull stuff (the Skeleton dragon for example) and have bought a fair few (Grimalkin looks like my actual cat, also got Vvardvark, Fennec Fox and others). I turn them off for trials, but love having a pet scampering around and will, otherwise, keep them alongside me. As I only played solo for so long it was company when I was in the middle of nowhere. Back when vet levels existed, it was great fun running through empty zones with just my pet by my side.

    Out of my 15 characters only one has a non-combat. The pet is a central part of her character story.

    All my homes have pets placed in them, usually up to the limit. Anything to put a bit of life in the place.

    The only non-combat "pet" my toon use is the banker. Even then, I put him away once I'm done with him.
    All non-combat pet is more useless than that so I don't see any reason to even bother to get them out.

    The one I use most is probably the Grimalkin cat - so very Ragdoll! Even its description screams Ragdoll all the way! Plus, it looks just like one of my real Ragdolls.

    On some characters I use a randomiser mod to add variety.

    I selected sometimes because I try to rememeber to bring out my hallowjack netch but my non combat pets randomly disappear or get unsummoned somehow, and I never notice until they've probably been gone for hours or days. When I realize it feels tedious to resummon just to have it happen again. Does anyone know why this happens?

    I'd love to go all Bear on my Warden :p (Wild Hunt/Psijic Bear, Cave Bear Cub pet and Eternal Guardian) but then my Netch would feel left out :(

    So I usually go with my Spotted Snow Senche <3 and my Frost Mare mount

    And my other chars also have matching pets/mounts

    40+ And I like my little critters. I don’t use big ones though and would put them away in group content.
