Sir, for the love of god slot a 2hander for rally. Go 2h/dw or 2h/SB.

Stamplar is the worst class rn in my opinion, I really don't get why nobody is complaining about that. The stamplar community is probably simply just too small.
I used to think that PvP was a tragedy, but now I realize, it's a comedy.

This has been the case for the class' entire life cycle. It's always been hugely underrepresented and massively lacking, Homestead was when Stamplar was at it's comparative strongest in PVP and then it was still worse than SDK/SS/Stamblade; but not by enough to matter.

Now, Stamplar is completely gutted. As Rhage pointed out, if you don't use Biting Jabs, the class has only 3 usable passives. Notice that I didn't say slot, I said use. Unless you are actively jabbing, the class has 3 usable passives that support itself.

My assumption is that ZOS is under the impression that people don't play Stamplar because they find the other classes more fun to play. The MMO community is exceptionally fickle - they don't not play something because it's not fun. They don't play something because it's TERRIBLE.

soooooo guys...nothing new at all under the Stamplar sky?

The class and it’s passives are all over the place honestly. Evasion makes things painful. No way to mitigate incoming dmg, 5 negative effects are a drop in the bucket. You have to sell your soul to the wpn dmg gods to have respectable heals. It’s rough out there. But I do think I’m slowly settling into something manageable.

Being able to remove five negative effects makes up for a lot of stamplar's lackluster healing.

    No it doesn’t

It's essentially proactive healing when you remove 3 or 4 dots.

It’s 100% in every way reactive, since you have to have effects on you, to purge them.

On the flip side, it is proactive in that you are preventing future damage, much in the same way vigor replaces health from future damage taken. Purely semantic, but not invalid.

Purify is 100% reactive, you do not cleanse 5 effects before they are on you.

Vigor can be used proactively as it is a heal over time. It’s also a completely different skill.

No semantics about it. It’s a reactive skill.

You reactively cast it to proactively prevent the full extent of the negative effects from occurring.

So how much does the first negative effect do to you before you cleanse to take off after 5 are on you? Its reactive. We cant afford to spam it as soon as something pops up and it does nothing to prevent reapplication. Really its best effect is right before you heal to make sure you get full strength

I actually quite like my stamplar and have a hard time going back magplar but a lot of ot is how I like to play. The weirdnes of it to me is that the class strength in healing does not show. DK and Warden have a signature tankiness, sorcs, although do not get a ton in their class have their speed/mobility, NBs obviously is even better at elusiveness than its magicka counterpart. I think Templar looks for us to run repentance as a heal but its after the fights over or in larger fights where we probably have healers around.

Really felt it the patch where they made the stam focus the resource manager, moved minor protection to it to be on a passive which is good for magicka but was a slight hit to stamplar on the defensive, and took away the vitality from the focus stam largely used.
