Which armor sets are generally considered useless/trash?

I'm trying to make more space in my inventory and bank but I really have no idea which sets are worth keeping vs. being sold to vendors. I've googled to see but so far all I see are links to older posts asking the same or similar questions. I'm guessing the expansions have changed all that quite a bit.

✭✭✭✭✭Useless sets are the ones that might as well not exist in the game for me. I'm looking at you, dungeon/trial/arena bind-on-pickup sets. I don't care how neat you look - if you're in a trial, I won't ever use you. Nor will I ever use you if you drop in a DLC dungeon. As for base game dungeons, I will rarely have the patience to bother with you either. You are useless, dungeon/trial/arena bind-on-pickup sets! You can go away until you remember how to be flexible enough to be sold in guild stores or put in people's banks without being bound!5

Sets I'd keep would be Burning spellweave, spinner, spriggans, bone pirate, bloodspawn, chokethorn, vicious ophianian, mending, infallible aether, Jorvulds Legacy, Ebon, Galenwe, Lord Warden, Selene's, Valkyn Skoria, Zaan, Relequen, and Velidreth.

Here's a clue: trash the ones that you have no idea about. You'll never remember them anyway.

The main ones for which the old analyses are obsolete are:- Ones that have been reworked and simply are different than before.
- Ones that give damage shields -- those were actually strengthened by the Nerfmire patch.

I rather like Combat Physician for soloing stuff, especially since Murkmire added resists. Coupled with Iceheart and Fortified Brass.0 -

Oh if it's from crit then such proc rate makes sense. Though in description it's just light attacks... if it was really proccing 15% of times that set maybe a miracle, at least for vma/soloing.. but as it is now I guess it will be too unreliable. On the other hand, those essences keep on the surface for 15 seconds.. so you may use it when needed not on proc.
Of course I may gather data in cmx and create bug report.. but given that they can't fix bug with ebon weapons for years, chance that they will fix set which nobody uses is abysmally low.0 -

Well, of course i was gonna using it for WW bosmer with senche, because WW does more light attacks and his roll-dodges are more like jumps then rolls and it's not a problem to get to that essence, since you need to proc senche and hunter's eye anyway

since it very much depends on an individuals playstyle, an individuals preferred build type and the individuals access to different sets
after all we dont all have DLC/trial/monster sets piled up in our banks/house storage3 -
