The Crown Store Event Tickets are purposed more for the additional seasonal items available during events than as an Indrik catch-up mechanic.

"Placing these Outfit Styles in the Impresario’s store will allow you to purchase them using Event Tickets if you’d like, but will not be the only, or even the primary, source. This is the ‘new thing’ we’re trying – having rewards sourced in multiple ways, both with and without a random element."

I can't be 100% sure on this, but I believe you'll be able to get everything "for free" as of the next and final installment of Q1 events, when the final berry comes up for offer. These events seem to last a while, give many tickets, and generally offer a lot of leeway as long as you're consistent with the quests available.

Edit : that is to say you still need to earn the tickets, but you should be able to earn enough at the next event to make up for missing this one entirely.

I guess I have a totally different viewpoint on it.

On the one hand, since one could have gotten the tickets via gameplay, I feel like people spending money for it is sad since they're wasting their money ("a fool and his money are soon parted", etc)

On the other hand, it's nice that they give a "catch up" mechanic for people who joined the game too late to get all those tickets that have already gone by.


And finally, I've never understood the whole "collector value" thing, where something is only meaningful to you if other people don't have it and/or if they had to go through the same fake "struggle" it took you to get it. Get the mount if you like & want it, skip it if you don't - don't attribute 'value' to it based on you having it & others not. (or you having gotten it the "real" way)


disclaimer - I don't care about the mount, and haven't spent any of the dozens of tickets I've gained over the last year. The only mount I have that I use is the basic black Crown Store horse. Got a few ugly shiny things from free crown crates, but they're ugly.

You never noticed the Ice Horse then. Coolest (no pun intended) mount ever.
