what if the person selling have decided that eso is interfering with his irl and decides to wrap it up in a way he wont be able to come back?
Contact support and ask for an account lock on the grounds of it causing personal harm. Or have a friend or someone close change the account password for them, then never tell them.

There are ways to lock yourself from playing an MMO which don't financially benefit you.

Really you cant blame them, if your done with the game

If i didnt have so many good friends on this game (or at leat a few good friends that havent stopped playing yet) and guild responsibilities i would probably be gone too.

instead im just sitting around waiting for the patch that makes combat better.....

The real question is why anyone would buy an account.

Risk of getting banned, having a bunch of crap you didnt earn, characters you didnt make and names you didnt think of.

    Whats the fun?

They grew tired of the whole thing, and some people who put value on achievements etc. see the opportunity to be "respected", but buying these accounts. You know "being gud" is really important in this game, so if you don't want to grind up or buy gold to buy carries for all skins etc., that's a way.

I know a few guys on Xbox EU, that by all likelihood have sold their accounts. I mostly PVP, and have seen and fought these guys a lot. Suddenly, they are complete scrubs, who can't fight for s**t, run from 1v1 fights with me, and generally zerg surf and even die there. It's obvious they either had a severe stroke, got prosthetic hands and were castrated at the same time, or - they sold their accounts...

This would explain why I’ve seen CP810 group finder PUGs running around only light attacking in dungeons. Or using executes at 100% health. Or just wearing all heavy while spamming snipe...

...they must’ve bought their account the day before! :D
Want to enjoy the game more? Try both PvP (crybabies) and PvE (carebears). You'll get a better perspective on everyone's opinion.

You actually don`t sell your account, you only sell the credentials, the account belongs to ZOS, it is in their database, they can do whatever they want with it, you only sell the login info.

And once fully "sold" the account cannot be reclaimed in any way, by fully sold i mean changing the E-mail address to the buyers E-mail and also once he changes the security question and answer as well it is impossible to perform a scam.
A lot of my PS4 firends bought accounts on PC, because they did not wanna grind to max CP all over again so i know from personal experience what it is the situation.

On the bad side, things like total noobs might buy max CP accounts and only light attack the content they meet, so there is that...
That bold part is incorrect. Even after this the original owner will be able to prove they created the account as they have all the personal information and payment information.

At this point they can just claim the account was hacked, give over the information and get the account back.

BUYING ACCOUNTS IS NOT SAFE. This can't be stated enough.

The decent account selling Websites offer 1 year warranty, so in the worse case you will get your monwy back.
