If i prepurchase Elsweyr will i get a game code to apply?

If I purchase Elsweyr from bethesda.net will I get a code to apply to my account, or will it download straight away to my computer? Asking cause I would like to buy for a friend, so hoping its a code I could then give to her so she could redeem it to get the upgrade.

If you make a purchase of Elsweyr from the ESO store while logged in to your existing game account, the purchase will automatically be added to your account. You would not receive a game code.

ok but I asked if i bought it thru bethseda.net not the ESO store. Would I then get a game code I could give to my friend?

Selecting Elsweyr on the Bethesda.net digital store will redirect back to the ESO store when purchasing ESO products. You can purchase from an authorized retailer digitally in order to receive a game code.
