This player, who I don't know, sent me this email claiming another player is scamming people and asking for my help. Personally I think who would be dumb enough to give a player all their gold for nothing? Especially when there are plenty of trading guilds with no fees.[snip]

Unless you’ve been a victim in past guilds run by the accused player, there really isn’t anything you need to do at this point.

The accused has probably been reported already ... either by the sender or by other former guild members. So, it’s likely in ZOS’s hands by now.

At the very least there’s an awareness now for the future.

I got the in game email too. But I am also in a lot of FB groups for ESO, and already had heard about it like last week. I'm pretty sure its legit. From what I read, it was like 5 guilds in total that got basically scammed. I believe a lot of people reported the player.

I like that someone is trying to get the word out there, a lot of newer players might not understand how a trade guild is supposed to operate, and think this person's weirdo requirements are normal. They obviously convinced a lot of people this made sense already once.

BUT, you probably will need to edit the pictures to remove the players name unfortunately. I'm sure they have changed their @ name already so its probably irrelevant what it used to be, but they don't like us to name and shame...
