Stop running maintance in these hours EU

Can you stop running maintance in broad daylight hours.
It is really frustrating wanting to go olay the game to find out oh the servers are down for the next 6 hours in broad damn daylight time.
I know we are EU and should get use to *** treatment from you but damn.

This isn't just a maintenance its a dlc release . Be wary of the load screen upon patch. Because it will be going through all the items on your account this mew code they are releasing.

Also got to consider this is a US company, based in the US, The Eu Servers a flavor to either get a Eu Base or to Get Eu Customers . I think most of their staff is american as well. They got a team running the eu servers but I don't think they have as many people compared to the NA and Their NA Offices. So that might be why and they tend to run things at the same time. Both Eu and Na. So that is why late morning hours are down in eu and early morning hours are down in US.

You won't keep everyone happy. The current update time is when majority of people are at work, so they won't be complaining.

I think the point is that they run the US maintenance during the US night, but the EU maintenance during the EU day.

If it's so OK to run it during typical work hours, why don't they do the same in the US?

its the perfect time for most folks, both in the us and eu....

us most people are either sleeping or getting ready for work on a monday morning
eu most people are at work at this time

Its a great time. I work until 4pm, then i can download and run the loadingscreen while doing daily housestuff and it will then be ready for me to play until bedtime

A hugeee sum of poeple work other shifts not the morning.
And zos is a huge company that makes a lot of money so they dont get the pass for that.

The hate. I work full time still when you are not at work and think about some nice playtime during the week you always run into that long maintenance cycle. It is not a must but would be very much appreciated if they can change the time when they do the maintenance.

yes, It give me time to do crafting and some other stuff in the morning.

Because if they ran it during typical working hours in the US, it would be after-work (prime time) hours in EU and even more Europeans would be upset over this.

I think this is best compromise they can make- do it while US is sleeping and Europeans are working. Least amount of people will be affected.

If you think the maintenance times are bad for us in Europe, then spare a thought for those is Australia who always get hit with it during their prime playing hours.

But I keep forgetting that only America has electricity and clothes and intellect. And calendars.

Well, perhaps, but my point is more: how do you think the US would take it if they had their maintenance in the morning and it extended through to the afternoon?

Do you think the response would be "It's fine, most people are at work then."?

Because I, somehow, highly doubt it...

Why do I think this is one of those popcorn threads that tend to be closed or heavy edited?
Here is my thoughts on this, sometimes real life is a thing and sometimes they the devs have to make do with what they have. LIke I said before they like to do them together. As such Na And Eu will be down at the same time. For all the servers. You may not like it I might not like it. But its something they got to do to keep the servers healthy and to make sure they last for many years to come. Sure there could be improvements, especially with the Eu Server as it has more problems then the NA going by the many threads and down times it has had compared to Na. But these things sometimes are out of their hands. Real LIfe is a factor and one has to consider it. What is best for them, how they are going to do it. So many factors. There is no need to get worked up about this as there is many ways you can occupy your time. Hopefully things go well with this update and it will be better then most might expect at least hopefully. Does not mean it will go smoothly and there is a good chance it might not. But if it does that would be good.

...and just to add, there is no "compromise" here.

Because they start this maintenance at around midnight West Coast time, which is even later than that for the rest of the US.

If they had a true compromise in mind, they would start it a few hours earlier, so the West Coast US lost a little of their late night playing time, but the EU could then get back on again earlier.

So, the EU would only (typically) lose part of the morning, rather than the whole morning and part of the afternoon.

I'm not complaining, personally, but facts are facts.

Yea sure while this is true we can think of some standards. By default there is less user activity deep into the night than within a work day.

Waiting for an Oceanic player to come in and play “Zos maintainance times suck” trump card since they get it way worse than anyone if you view it based on peak times.

There’s no one way to realistically resolve this for everyone and id rather have a regular time each week than one that changes constantly. If I’m working then fine but if I’m off like today I just do something else instead.

So I'm not allowed to work even if I want to. (And I do want to)

So I'm stuck here at home. Frankly not many of you are as inconvenienced by the patches as I am. I'm reliant on the Internet for social interaction and company, and online games make up the bulk of that as it provides an activity to do alongside other people.

And yet, despite this, I am the one who doesn't complain about this. It's a US-based company. They put their work hours to, shock-horror, US working hours.

Get over it. Life ain't fair.

Is this what peeps think is worth complaining about? Seriously?

I'm retired, but years and years of 3rd shift, my normal sleep is through the day and I am up all night.

Right now I can't play because NA is in maintenance. I'm not gonna complain about it because maintenance is a necessary evil to keep a game running as smoothly as possible.

It's an inconvenience. It's not a major big deal. There is Nothing in this game that you will miss out on by having to wait for maintenance to conclude.

have some pizza, beer and chicken wings and everything will be fine.
