Bretons seem like a natural fit. That cost reduc is nice. Has anyone tried Imperial?

New to Magplar i find that the passives on Breton are well built into the Race. The extra resists are nice considering how much damage we take from spellcasters. The 7% cost reduction to magicka skills can help with sustain a lot and will Bretons will be able to stack some additional spellpower or something besides a sustain enchant. Possibly BIC healer also?

I could also see how Dark Elf would be a great option as it provides almost max stats and additional spell power. I could see this class doing really well with a vampire build with the added fire resist.

Breton seems to have slight advantage due to food buffs.

I'm still Altmer...I find it easier to sustain with only 12-14k max stamina due to the new passive. it used to be really hard to sustain stam without at least 14k. Not anymore though...the spell damage is pretty good also :)

It’s a close call between Breton and Altmer. But after having played around with both races, the damage between the two is pretty consistent if you go blue/purple food Breton vs citrus Altmer. The stam return from spell recharge is extremely noticeable though and more of a game changer imo than the superior magicka sustain.

All in all though I find the two races to be quite well balanced against each other and you can’t go wrong with either.

So I was an Argonian and played around with it for a day. I then switched to Altmer and played with it a day and missed Argonian so I switched back. Then I missed Altmer as soon as I changed so I played Argonian another day and switched back again to Altmer. It's been more than one day now (lol) and I don't miss Argonian anymore and I honestly think Altmer is better and no other race suits my build. Yes I did use all my free tokens on one toon.

On each race I tried to make the sustain equal between the two and when I did that my tooltips were significantly higher on Altmer and my honor tooltip was barely better on Argonian. Unless you are trying to do something cool with the potion passive I don't think Argonian is a very good choice anymore.

Been playing around with high elf and I think it's really good. I'm planning to switch back to Argo though as I think I prefer the playstyle of getting a ton of stuff with a pot. High elf definitely seems like one of the best choices though.

no need to feel ashamed. you just miss the tail and that's perfectly fine.

Hard not to say Altmer: The extra 5% damage reduction and Templar minor protection gives you a nice 12% while casting sweeps, and it stacks nicely with mist form or Cyrodiil's Light. Built in stam regen. Twice as much raw damage potential as a Breton and four times an Argonian. Stat pools buffed by CP and Major/Minor Sorcery

That Breton cost reduction though. Essentially a free Seducer's set.

Wild card choice for me is Imperial.

Still have not made up my mind. Been working so much, I have not even had time to log in since patch.

This right here is exactly why you should create more than one Templar, especially if it’s your main.
