Getting kicked from dungeons before the last boss

Hello !

Today I joined a veteran Volenfell run, daily pledge, through the group finder.
There were 3 other players already in, I joined, said hi.No one spoke but I am used to that.
cp 450, relequen/velidreth/briarheart , they were all lower level, 120 - 150ish so it was very slow but we made it to the final boss with quite a few deaths. Used a lot of potions, even on trash mobs to make up for the lack of group dps.
And then -
You are no longer in a party ... I got kicked.Got the screenshot, got the name of the party leader, got the combat metrix screenshot were it shows 67% of the damage of the fights was mine.
They were probably communicating on discord or in their guild chat and kicked to replace me with another low level friend of theirs, for the last boss, undaunted keys and loot.
So, how does this work ? I know it is not allowed to write their name on the forum. Do I complain to support ? They are not bothered to fix the EU servers, I am pretty sure no one really cares what happened to me.Even I do not care, but I do wonder why is it not ok to let the community know the names of the people involved ? I have all the proof to show I did nothing wrong and was used to carry them through the fights. They did not even know the way, where to go next, died at simple mechanics. I do not mind all that, people have to learn and I would never leave a party because of how long the fights take.Remembering my early days, it is only right to give back. But this... this is just lame.

We all know bad things happen but do I have to pretend it did not, do I have to say - oh well, life goes on, forget the bad, concentrate on the positive ? Why is it not ok to say their names in public ? Thinking about them doing this for all the vet dungeons ... and no one doing anything about it.It would be a good thing to show the screenshots and name them.

When good people do nothing, bad people rule.

happened to me twice, too. If you happen to pug together with a premade group, whatever you do to displease them they will just kick u when final boss about to die.

i also made reports ingame with their names, but nothing happens, i just receive the robot reply with ignore them.

It stinks, but ZoS doesn't care. And get ready for the flurry of "find a guild group" or "regular group" to run with.

The dungeon system is broken. PERIOD.

Just remember who they were and avoid them in the future. I believe you can even put them on your ignore list to avoid being randomly grouped with them.

Were you being arrogant with better dps? Not judging but that is usually why people get kicked in these cases.

actually its kinda sad to show of with DMG; however if he has 2 3rds of the overall DMG, then its quite fair to say that the others are performing very badly (CP aside here for a moment, they are not the major difference point here).

@OP no offense, but just get a guild / group of friends with which you can run dungeons or do all kind of other stuff.
Groupfinder groups are in most cases not really friendly.
If you play with friends or guildies, you can have alot of fun, and noone (hopefully) will require you to have BIS setups or such, If you dont have BIS gear then just be honest to them, and mostly they will still come and run with you ;)

Yeah but depends on you convey it to group. Some people rather have fun then be with toxic group mate. Though again don't know circumstances for OP.

Lol, I got kicked by three 810s when I was 580 in Veteran March of Sacrifices. They were stuck on a boss when I joined, when I ran to them, they saw my cp and booted me.

Last week the exact same thing happened. Before I got removed I managed to tell them that I've done this before so they live with the regret.

Then I queue again and I get back with the same people who now literally beg me to stay but I said no thank you and left, lol.

Since then when I go to that dungeon, I keep my Huntmaster title up.

Honestly if you are a skilled dps just go to captial cities and say skilled dps looking for group for pledges. Craglorn is always full of skilled tanks/healers too so you have better chances. While I enjoy some Messi pugs would eat I mean join a group of skilled dps anytime.

Also it might of just been a legit accident. This one type I accidentally kicked my friend from a trial run who was pulling majority of dps. To this day they don't let it go 😝. Did you try pming them?

It's an actual possibility, considering they were really low CP. Some guy accidentally poked the kick button and the rest agreed thinking it was some "ready" feature.

Actually happen to me a while back while I was tanking. Some newbie clicked the wrong thing and rest picked yes, in the middle of a boss fight lol. I got teleported out and ofc sent them a message. They where really upset and asked "Why did you leave us at the boss? We're all dead" :D

Granted sometimes people do kick to let a guildie leech, but normally not the case when it total newbies.

These days when I PUG I record the entire fight with Shadowplay. If it turns out something like this happens I post it on my youtube channel for all to see and make their own decision as to what transpired.

But alas, cannot post it in the Forum due to "Naming and Shaming".

The key phrase here is "we made it to the final boss with quite a few deaths".

This is Volenfell. You are not supposed to die often (I'd say at all) in general. If you die before the last boss a lot it's a very bad sign for that dungeon. The last fight will include a lot of running and dodging. If you can't do that it will be very problematic to resurrect your body all the time while being chased by the red robot.

Disclaimer: I didn't see your run, so it's just a guess.

Why do I have a feeling that whenever people say No offence they actually go straight into offending you with condescending comments :)
Of course everyone wants to have a great group of people to play with, of course you need a guild to do quality content but that is not the topic of this post. I often work odd hours so sometimes I play early in the morning and getting a steady veteran pledge group , especially the dlc-ones is not easy .So the group finder is a great idea, while I do some fishing. Only not so nice with people like that, using you to clear 90% of the content and kicking you before the last boss to get someone else in with whom they did not want to suffer through the whole run. I did not die during the run, know when to dodge, block or just get out of the aoe, but the tank died a few times , one guy had 12k health, died all the time, probably did not use food and still I did not say anything. You play a hand you are dealt and I played.

So, just to be clear - did not offend anyone in the group, did not speak to anyone, no one spoke to me or to each other , I had good damage and they kicked me, before the last boss. We did not start the fight at the last boss, we just got there.
Did not even bother with a - hey sorry mate a guild member just logged on who really needs this vet dungeon, we have to kick you ... The reason for this post was not really to complaint about what happened, not to ask advice how to find a decent group or how to join a guild or how to advertise my self in map chat- my question was, is still - Why is it forbidden to name the people who are doing this, when I have all the evidence ? Why do we all have to put up with this ?

I know this is just a game. But when it is teaching us to overlook the bad stuff and just ignore or even worst, accept all what
sleazeballs do maybe it is giving us a wrong message. I do not like it.

Well, consider this: If they did indeed kick you before the last boss to call in a friend that was at their level, they probably spent a looooong time at that boss.

But as others have pointed out, it could have been an accident. I've had a co-GM kick himself from the guild once when he was inviting people to a group because he right-clicked on his own name on the roster. We still make fun of him for that.

To be clear really meant no offense, we were just guessing on what happened with little information we had. I would honestly try zone people more or just join a guild. Also remember this could of all been accident. Maybe they meant to kick other dps but instead got you. People are complex unless it shows a trend then would say just was bad luck and move on.

Judging by the stated CP values, it's not too surprising for a newish group to have that much trouble in Volenfell, even though it's one of the easier dungeons by comparison. The Beetle's AoE does a considerable amount of damage if you don't get out of it quickly, the path to the Dwarven Sphere boss will kill basically anybody that's not prepared for the steam blast, and the Sphere boss itself has multiple attacks that deal a fair bit of damage.

It's happened to me at least once that I can remember. It was blessed crucible for me, run went pretty OK and we got to last boss and I got booted as a dps. I'm guessing it was to bring in their friend, probably for more troll king mask options? I know it's a popular set in PvP.

Best not to let it get to you. I've been in many groups and only had it done to me once or twice at most, so it's not like most of the population is trying to bring in their friends for last boss kills.

Although it sucks, I really wouldn't giving it much concern. It's part of pugging that we all encounter at some point in our progression. While you can have some good experiences with the DF, pugs are also a breeding ground for sociopaths. I stopped using the DF a long time ago. If I can't join or create a group in my guilds, I just forget about it and try again later.

Could blast their names out over area chat so everyone knows they are dirtbags. Then do it every time you see their names in area chat looking for PUGs in the future. Did that a while ago with a fake tank that was trolling for trials runs, then leaving everyone high and dry when he was exposed.

We're adults, no one is entitled to be with anyone else ever. So if you don't want to risk being kicked don't pug it. Doesn't matter why they kicked you because the end result is the same.
If this happens to you rarely don't sweat it. If it's often...check your build/rotation.

Sounds like you dodged a bullet.

Trying to clear HM with a garbage group like that would've been a headache, and you would've ended up having to settle and put out way too much effort for a regular clear and one key.

That being said, I know it's cliche to say but find a guild. If you can put out a LFM and get even one decent person to run with you, you're good to go.
