Should ZOS downgrade graphics?

And even if graphics caused performance issues(big lol) , the game looks a bit pixelated even at 4K resolution. So a big NO. If anything this game needs a proper hd texture pack.

Game is 5 years old and tbh I thought it looked alright until I hit it with reshade,

If anything a graphical improvement and a preload recommended PvP settings lower textures/no shadows etc.

Think the AoE and other magic effects is more of an issue then you have hundreds of them at screen at once.
Reducing quality of them in trials / cyrodil helps, its not that its anything than an blur anyway in huge fights.

Turning off grass in PvP has quite a big performance boost in terms of FPS especially on lower end machines and consoles aren't the same as a good PC.

No? The game doesn't even look that great. Take Final Fantasy XIV for example - looks way better on PC and console and the performance is a million times better (with even more players around at the same place).

The difference is, SquareEnix seems to care about performance whereas ZOS mostly cares about flashy new Crown Store items.

If it's your rig then nothing can stop you from playing on minimal. Downgrading graphics won't fix server performance.

I don't think graphics are the problem you can tune them down far enough, more information stutters when the world collides.

I can see where this idea comes from. Generally when you turn down the graphics in a lagging game it works better. But this is not the solution for ESO. We are not going to sacrifice the gorgeous graphics for performance, just please no!

This is not the way to improve stability and performance. I really hope no such move is ever made. One reason I love ESO is the epic graphics.

I feel the graphics aren't good enough. Without my reshade the game has less saturation than Deathly Hallows pt 2, and is just as bleak looking.

Could be just me, but some older zones could do for a fidelity pass if anything.

Graphics have been downgraded without affecting the whole game for everyone else.

Its not like the graphics is awe inspring it needs higher end pc to achieve the graphics.

A high end PC is not required to play this game. It can be played by a PC that was a good gaming PC 6 years ago. That is far from a high end PC today.

Even when I lower graphics to bare minimum my framerate doesn't improve so much. I really don't think it is graphic settings that is affecting this game's performance so negatively.

At least ESO runs better than GW2.

Think my cpu is 6 year old. Yes its an 6 core i7 @ 3.8GHz, has not happened so much on cpu front the last years, pretty much like tanking gear
