There is no angels in ESO universe, so I doubt this will fit lore in any way?
Or you wanna to receive something like this in result in ESO 2022?

Oh thanks, I love history and know about winged hussars, who were probably most beautiful knight style before knights moved to oblivion and of course I understand that a lot of "new" eso lore is borrowed somewhere in real life. I just don't want this rather unique game to turn in another korean MMO with those huge angelic/butterfly wings everywhere and so on :)

Welkinar is beautiful if only you could get rid of those wings. Not in a polish hussar game you know.
It cannot be seen, cannot be felt,
Cannot be heard, cannot be smelt,
It lies behind stars and under hills,
    And empty holes it fills,
It comes first and follows after,
    Ends life, kills laughter.

Oh, I love Sabaton <3... seen them live twice. And I love those winged armor styles. Welkynar looks great IMO but I can't afford it, neither in game nor in the Crown store, so my StamDK uses Ra'Gada instead. The only other 'winged' style I have seen so far is Trinimac light. Are there others?

But our light goddess have cloak, not a wings on that statue, and cloaks do not exist in ESO too ><
Even if those are wings, they are more like dragon wings then feathered one.

I hate these wings on armor and will never use these motifs. It makes me feel like i am kind of a remote controlled drone or smth :p There should be an option to use these motifs with or without wings.

    From the Song of Pelinal:
Umaril was laid low, the angel face of his helm dented into an ugliness which made Pelinal laugh
From the The Thirty-Six Lessons of Vivec, Sermon Twenty-Five
But then the light subsides, revealing the bright and terrible angel of Veloth. He is in his pre-chimerical form, demonic VEHK, gaunt and pale and beautiful, skin stretched painfully thin on bird's bones, feathered serpents encircling his arms. His wings are spread out behind him, their red and yellow ends like razors in the sun. The wispy mass of his fire hair floats as if underwater, milky in the nimbus of light that crowns his head. His presence is undeniable, the awe too much to bear.

The Three Storm Sharks, episode 8 released on january the 8th.

    one mer to find them,
One mer to bring them all

Ok, no angels with feathered wings in backside while in humanoid form... And don't tell me you remember vivec sermon's as a Bible. This is 2 first "relevant" sources returned by UESP search..

I don't know about lush wings, but the closest we get to the hussars is Ra Gada armor.

As for Meridia, her furnishing statue has what definitely looks like sterotypical angel wings to me. (In Oblivion, her statue did not.)

Well, Umaril was called "the Unfeathered" and there was a mention about his wings (and a picture too).
I don't remember those books, of course, but I remember that I read something about angels in TES books.
My point though is not that actual angels exist in Tamriel (we don't know), my point is people of Tamriel have an idea about angels (just like we IRL) and can use this idea when creating armor (just like we IRL).

Well aedra are as close to "angelic" as elder scrolls allows it. Meridia was magna ge (something near the aedroth) before becoming deadra prince too so yeah.

Furnishing statue - yes, original statue - no. I think ESO statue designers decided that feathered wings will be selling better then original grim daedric cloak/wings etc...

Fresh screenshot from almost unmodded SLE, no sign of feathered wings:
    IwiKzED.jpg

And Meridia is still daedra, she may look noble and righteous, but only because that is her way, no connection to christian way of things.

There is difference between adding something new to previously not-covered territories of lore, and other thing is turning actual grim and dangerous daedra, charming in her own way, to some kind of generic archangel.
Of course there are lot of people who started playing elder scrolls from Skyrim, and now a lot of people who started playing from ESO and so for latter ones old lore doesn't matter, ESO is canonical and all that was before is some old nonsense. But for those who started playing from Morrowind - we love that old strange unfriendly world, and not generalized mix of late middle age myths with fantasy visuals.

there is alot that have been added in eso. its not neccessary bad (rather good) it expands the universe and lore. aslong as its a good story behind it why not. i personally started with oblivion.

Humans on Earth came up with the concept of winged humans and whether this is based on any actual beings is debated hotly between many, many groups of people. We came up with the concept of winged HORSES, even. We like sticking wings on things. It makes us happy. They're pretty and they represent freedom and rising and all sorts of things we associate with birds' flight. So it's perfectly reasonable to imagine that people in Tamriel might like to just put wings on things since BIRDS exist. I've seen them, lots of them. They are all over the place.

That said, I *like* the wingy armors and I would love to have more styles of wingy armors. The more the merrier. Maybe some where the feathers dye really well, next time, AHEM.
