Mage light - useless detection radius

✭✭✭If you are using Inner Light, you have selected magicka over a decent detect radius. The other morph, Radiant Magelight, has a decent radius (12 meters) and, by having it slotted, Radiant Magelight prevents the despised stun from stealth attacks. Additionally, I have heard that mage light stacks with detect pot, but I have not tested this.
edited to add: Players can build to reduce the effectiveness of Magelight. In those cases, it is better to use AOE damage to reveal them.Edited by Dojohoda on February 3, 2019 8:48PMFan of playing magblade since 2015. (PC NA)

Cloak, Roll dodge, Cloak, Roll dodge, Burst insane DPS, oh *** i'm getting killed, Cloak, troll king proc, reset fight. Meanwhile that mag warden spammed all his magica getting you out of cloak....
It's not a L2P if you L2P you know that roll dodge and cloak combined needs to be looked at.

How about Clever Alchemist + Skooma smuggler with infused pot cooldown enchants. That is what i'm running on my mag nb. 100% uptime on major expedition. If i want you will never catch me no matter how much you spam aoe or detect pots.0 -

✭✭My guess is that check happens every 1s (if no 2s as ZOS usually likes), so you have to sit on the NB ass whole time to let magelight reveal it. Bullsh*t skill.
All I know is I've cast magelight while literally right on top of the other player and had them still cloak away. If it isn't a check delay, it's buggy player position reporting, possibly due to lag.Main: Drio Azul ~ DC, Redguard, Healer/Magicka Templar ~ NA-PC

Iam now using it over three months and i was able to "use" detection only twice so far ( and i have it on first bar so it can be quickly used)
Why i have problem with its radius? Its because Nbs movement speed while cloaked. In most times Nb vampire has faster movement speed than is mine while walking/running as magicka character
Even if your lucky to find someone with it, duration is too short
The Radiant Magelight morph is great, however the rest of them are garbage to be honest. I'd be fine with upping the base to 10M detection, and Radiant to 15M.0 -

Because it's perfectly balanced not to reveal anyone who doesn't stand on top of you. You're not supposed to reveal anything but completely new PvP players. The so called "counters" to stealth have all been perfectly balanced for this. Reveals nothing but PvE players questing or grinding for skills/shards.

A very very long time ago, it told you when someone went into stealth. A long time ago, it was able to tell you when someone had you targeted as soon as they started an ability. That didn't really mean stealth, but obviously if you got alerted and no one was there, it meant someone was stealth.
Never did it detect or reveal, it just notified ability use had occurred0 -

The obvious difference is you’re investing a sizeable chunk of magicka while you may or may not reveal anything. RML isn’t a cheap skill. A racial passive doesn’t take up a bar slot and costs no magicka. It’s only 3m on the passive though, so it’s not really comparable.

✭✭✭Hell, most AOEs used to detect NBs are useless. From my mDK's perspective- I can spam Volatile Armor next to a NB and see "miss" constantly. I end up wasting my magic while looking for them. Same with talons. I can literally have an enemy in talons while they're invisible... then ::poof:: they're gone.Want to enjoy the game more? Try both PvP (crybabies) and PvE (carebears). You'll get a better perspective on everyone's opinion.
