80% of my friendlist is playing magsorc now, what did I miss?

So I just quite recently came back to eso (and pvp) and now the majority of my friendlist is maining a magsorc, what did I miss?

I play mainly BGs and Sorc and Warden are the best finishers. In our BG guild Sorc is the most common class.

Sorcs are one of the weakest classes at the moment. I’m guessing there are still a lot of them around because people made them back when they were really powerful, and continue playing them because they don’t want to learn or level a different class.

I play magdk and stamblade aswell, but as I prefer magicka and having a disengage option I've started to play sorcerer more

My favourite is the new groups of 5 Sorcs all working together to bring down 1 target - that's some real solid game-play right there.

How big is your friends list? Cause if it's like 10 people, 80% isn't very impressive. 100? Sure, but I find it doubtful 80 people are playing sorc all the time lol

Sorcs have never really been bad in PvP, they've had trouble killing things in the past but that's all.

Basically pet Sorcs went from being taboo to standard. They were always OP.

Everybody always thinks their class is weakest by far, since there is no way u got outplayed/outgeared.
It's like reading the class feedback threads after patches. Its a crying competition who got the most imaginary nerfs.

So if 80% of players would be hypothetically playing mSorc the result would be alot of crying in the forums about how weak mSorc is. Magicka sorcerer was always a strong versatile class with a very strong forum zealot lobby(like all popular classes- stamblade, mDK etc.) resulting in a alot of crying.

Just compare the amount of magicka sorcerer threads with the amount of stamplar threads, look after that at the amount of changes made to the classes in the last patches. Since stamplar has no strong forum zealot lobby the class went through many patches completely untouched. If u want to find the most played classes just look at the amounts of threads created to the classes.

Of course the 80% are an exaggarated number from the OP, but still mSorc was never a weak/dead class.

I could name some sorc zealots , they would still be crying if they got a instakill ability since they still can be killed by big groups then. Oh wait they allready did in the runecage onehit meta.

Brb need to make a buff sorc and stamblade thread, since they are the classes i enjoy most and spoiler: both classes are very weak!!!

If all you wanna do is cheese duels, then sure. But pet sorc is absurd 1v1 on live already, nothing new there. No respectable duelist runs a zoo build anyways. That kind of build will remain trash as it is on live for open world. I’d be willing to bet money that zoo builds will not become meta in Cyrodiil.

That's because it TAKES 5 sorcs to bring down one target! Especially DKs...

They're plenty popular in BGs. I'm surprised it took this long to catch on at all, since the interrupt changes took place.

The only way to consistently drop a zoo sorc prior to the bash change was kill the bird and deny their heals. Now after the first interrupt they can safely ward and bring the bird back out.

assuming you can target the sorc in the first place
