I looked at the PTS patch notes and for the most part I like what I'm seeing. But, I really think racials need to be completely non-combat related if they exist at all.

Aside from class lines, racial passives are the only skills that can't be changed after character creation, but they're tied directly to the cosmetic look of the character.

Just my opinion, but I don't think players should have to sacrifice their cosmetic tastes for the purposes of min/maxing their characters. Racials should be for RP only and anything that could potentially impact combat effectiveness should be removed.

    We all have our opinions. Zos has theirs (which we are all well versed in). Zos seems to want to keep a flavor for each race in both actions and their statements.

    In the end it does seem we have changes that make many races very versatile and their passive have less of an impact which works better for players that share your opinion.

    Argonians will still be fine. They were clearly a tad overtuned before.

    Healing done is and healing taken are overrated stats that have very little utility outside of vet cloudrest in PVE. It's ridiculously easy to restore health in this game. Argonians' only saving grace is that potion passive. Which isn't even all that imo. The more you learn to play and be comfortable in your role, the better your resource management becomes and the less you need that Resourceful passive.
    Green dragon blood or vigor for healing, heavy attacks for stamina and balance for magicka. If you're unable to do any of those things you have orbs/shards/healers with master restos or even your own tri-pots.
    Other players are not me I know that, but I see little reason to pick them for healing or tanking.

    Altmer are fine they are now in a very tight contest for top magic DPS. Argonians are still top tier tanks, healers, and a very versatile PvP race. The only race that comes out of this patch actually being bad is Imperial. They are now the bottom stamina DPS, fifth best tank race, and a mediocre PvP race.

    Every race received a power reduction that was one of the intentions of this update (One of the many costs we pay for Champion Points.). You can only judge races compared to each other after the patch.

    Agreed 1000% but some people here dont actually care about their characters and only care about how OP a certain race makes their build.
    Playing your character the way your character should play is all that matters. Play as well as you can but never betray the character. Doing so would make playing an mmoRPG pointless.

    Competition outside of pvp in a team game like an MMO? LOL you should be COOPERATING with other players bud. not competing with em. go play some Call of duty perhaps?
    Playing your character the way your character should play is all that matters. Play as well as you can but never betray the character. Doing so would make playing an mmoRPG pointless.

    It's more of an adjustment in the end. All races got adjusted somehow, several got buffs and others got nerfs. In the end every race besides Imperials is fine and fits their purpose/niche.

      ESO is not a competitive game in the first place. Where are ladders, leagues, match making, tournaments? Have you ever played a competitive game? Even some large scale MMOs are more competitive due to open world PVP and better guild system. Racial passives should stay IMO, because it's still Elder Scrolls.

      I read those posts, it seems like DPS is still good, but regarding magicka sustain, it's worst. And thats why I called it a nerf.
      Remember that a magicka char with 0 magicka does bad damage :P

      There's a simple way to demystify the whole thing. Go parse on live and go parse on the PTS. Adjust your roto, skills, food and whatever. If you parse higher it's a buff of not it's a nerf. It's not that hard to figure out tbh.

      There are trial leaderboards where different teams try to outdo each other on the leaderboard for score and rewards.
