Character Creation/Reroll and 3000 crowns

Just a note here ... Understanding from patch notes we will get 1 free character race change. This is nice for those whom play one character. I understand ZOS has overhead and like any business needs to make a profit ... But .. I have several toons i must reroll thus will be paying the 3000 crowns on each to do so, therefore I think it right we do one thing to the character creation screen.

When swapping for example from dunmer to altmer and my character is vamped i cannot see the selected skin tones, eye colors etc.. to truly see what my toon will look like unvamped. I do not want to have to cure vampirism on several toons and then revamp them simply to reroll as altmer, especially when i am spending 3000 crowns so many times over.

It was suggested to put on the amber plasm skin, though i have it, not all do and you still do not get to see the character you have created without any distortion. A simple fix to see your pawn without vampirism I believe is necessary and considerate.

Thank you very much.

A hide vamp skin option needs to be available as a toggle anyways both in race change screen and in game

If you are on PTS then maybe try to create your final character (the Altmer you are changing to for example) and then take screenshots of body and face sliders and such.

I'm waiting for EU PTS to take screens of my current sorc, I'm going to delete him to make this particular character ( race/name) a necro, he just fits so well

My suggestion to bypass it. Open race change, check sliders, leave without change. Create new toon, mess with your sliders and race, save those sliders. Go back to your toon, apply changes. Basically, you'll create a dummy twin. Race change allows you to see sliders without spending it if you don't accept changes before leaving, so you can do this how many times you want. Test on pts to see how it works.

If they are making such a huge change you should receive a token for each toon you have imo. As for vamp its been discussed many times over and I agree with the notion that its op and you should have to look at it if your not good enough or willing to spend money on skins.

Is there a way to save sliders and automatically apply them on desired toon?

Not that I know of, but there aren't that many sliders, not too hard to take a few pictures with phone or screenshots. Sounds dumb, but still...

Sometimes 1/16 inch shift can cause big problems. I guess, I might just drop vampirism temporarily so to be safe. It's pretty easy to get bitten again.

That it is. And knowing how I am with my toons, I agree with you... You want them perfect.

Character creation and race change as a whole needs some improvement. I've had to create and then delete many characters until i got the looks just right because the creation screens are limited in lighting and poses. We also do not see the character in motion at all so it's hard to determine what their walking/running animations will look like.

What I'd like to suggest to ZoS is to make a testing feature for character creation and race change which allows us to control our character within a confined area, some outdoor place that represents what you would find in an Overland Zone. Let us try out different costumes on our character so we can see any awkward proportions before we commit. Once we are happy with the changes, then commit the character settings to the server and return our character to the game. This would be a major quality of life feature.

best option that does not cost you anything, but time, is to use the test client and create the chars there, like someone suggested. Take screenshots of the sliders/colors/options, and there you go.

One thing that annoys me is that I can't preview the voice properly. I have to play the char to find out that some of the voice growls and reactions are not in the style of the char I wanted. But on the PTS you can test all that.
