Click bait? No. Attempt to be amusing while pointing out that ZOS is hiring a Community Manager, yes.

Yes it is confirmed it’s called ES Blades and that’s obviosily what this job posting is for so I doubt Gina or Jessica will be leaving.
Wow science degree in business disciplines and a background in computer science and sociology/psychology and a dollop of business administration. Reading that gives me the willies. Why did you post this. That looks more stressful than CEO.
Yeah that's a pretty conflicting job role as described. I doubt it actually translates to that in practice, but I don't want to feel like the community reps for my games are being influenced by marketing.lordrichter wrote: »Here is what I think is stressful: "While working in a cross functional team the Community Manager keeps the online community engaged and grows the community base. I view Community Management to be a Communications and Public Relations job, but ZOS has tossed in a heavy Marketing component. That is the scary part, to me. My view is that the Communications and Public Relations portion of the job conflicts with the Marketing part of the job. One part builds good will, trust, and brand loyalty, while the other exploits that for monetary gain. The job position is basically for a "con artist", and my personal style would be to break that into two people and two jobs.

Experience working with Apple and Android mobile gaming platforms, storefronts, and related tools. Khajiit has an apple tree at Castle Claws.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Khajiit has puurrfect Engermish yes.
Assists with the company's involvement in trade shows, exhibitions, and other events. Well this one ran around Summerset drunk at the press event.
Generates reports regarding the online community and customer reviews; analyzes the results. Translation – who has got the most ‘awesome’s today?
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Well this one has 14 apprentices and at least some of them have not run away yet.
For your kind consideration

We're scared of change. I mean, just look at what happens every patch notes release. So why doesn't anyone else see increasing headcount as a good thing? Companies only hire new additional staff if there is growth.

Bethesda Game Studios is making Blades, and they have Community Managers over there. However, several recent job postings at ZOS have included mobile. They might be making something mobile for ESO, but it is not my first guess. My guess is that Game 2 has a mobile component to it.
Since Rich has said that no one is leaving, they are likely staffing up so they have people for both ESO and Game 2.Wow science degree in business disciplines and a background in computer science and sociology/psychology and a dollop of business administration. CEO is stressful, yes, but mainly because the CEO gets the blame for things they cannot always control. To be a CEO, you have to be good having a target on your back, and smiling when it gets used. After that, the most important part of the job is doing whatever investors want so that stock prices go up. Some people management and business skill in running a company also handy, but if they are good enough at the other two things, weakness here can be overlooked.
Here is what I think is stressful: "While working in a cross functional team the Community Manager keeps the online community engaged and grows the community base. This individual will effectively utilize knowledge of the game and community to assist the Marketing Department with ideas and designs that will work to drive revenue."
