I'm not even reading the post. There isn't going to be a class change token, so let it go.

Then you missed the point. 1. I wanted to know if it's true that they CANNOT do a class change because of the engine. 2. If there cannot/will not be the option for a class change then I DO want them to do something regarding mount training AT THE VERY LEAST because if they are determined to introduce more classes it's just ridiculous to expect us to have to redo EVERYTHING all over again when we have characters we'd LIKE to discard but have invested too much time and effort into to do so. It's just too frustrating and time consuming and I would HOPE they are cognizant of that. So it's not so much about "I want a class change token!" as it is, "I want a reasonable way to duplicate my time consuming achievements on characters I will no longer be playing because I want to play a new class but resent having to do the ludicrously too long mount training all over again."
I doubt that.MornaBaine wrote: »I have heard it speculated that they CAN'T actually offer class changes because of the limitations of the engine and the way it handles character recognition.

There is no technical reason why they can't offer a class change token. They simply choose not to offer it because they think that levelling up multiple characters keeps people playing longer.

As for us here, we will just have to deal with the way things are. Class change is unlikely to come, and even if they someday change their mind about this, it certainly will not be anytime soon.
So I reckon we old hands will gain little enjoyment from the new class, as it will be tempered by a great deal of vexation.
And we will still have to deal with that.
