Why run pelinals if you run shackle breaker which is already balanced? Think I'd just run clever alchemist at that point

I don't know what more I need to say then the truth. I am pretty certain I know what sets I run. I never heard of another person doing a hybrid DK. Death and I have talked about the idea for a very long time. If you want specifics try January of 2018. We revisited the idea in November of 2018. I got busy with the holidays. We decided to put it together for fun at the beginning of Mayhem. Never watched your build video and I don't plan to. But keep clout chasing it looks good (for me).

I do not run torug's pact. I had the set crafted after the patch that changed up infused enchants. Tried it in open world. Tried it in BGs. Didn't like it. Deconed the set. So keep making up your own facts. All I can say is the truth. I've ran with the same build/playstyle for a long time.

PS. The way I build my hybrid is much better. More dmg and survival. twitch.tv/Krotha

@Krotha No you don't. That's why people called you out on stream. That's why no one saw you running it, until after I'd packed you up in bgs, that you weren't streaming... We can 1v1 our hybrid builds on your stream if you want. I'll keep it my open world set up too, not a dueling single target build.

TBH Devilspawn tried fury pelinials long ago, danzo has had success and cor released something last year too.

@888and888 maybe stronger with the additive change to damage debuffs like off balance or minor vulnerability. Vamps take 10% more damage from fire now. And your heals will be bigger because you’ll have higher wd with dunmer.

@ccfeeling it’s hardly hybrid. Pelinials is just a damage set to a mag dk because it allows it to access minor brutality. Once you understand that, it’s easy to understand why you’d run pelinials. The 5th piece turns into a 300-400 spell damage bonus basically and allows you to run rally or forward momentum, a heal and a buff in one slot.

I'm currently using a combo of sun + sload on my dunmer mDK focused on DoTs (2.7k wpn dmg and 2.3k spell dmg without considering sun). It is quite fun, but the same build going towards stam and useind deadly strikes is much more powerful.

Saddly, hybrids are underpowered with the current CP system that forces you to split dmg into magicka based or stam based

This build is entirely magicka damage focused.

@888and888 I strongly recommend dropping dw this patch. 2h front bar is BiS for this. And To be a team player you can back bar vma resto and run mutagen/rapid regeneration and fragmented shields.

If your solo. Strongly recommend destro lightning staff back bar. You can do ele drain and blockade. Or whatever. Im more opposed to draw essence because we don’t have the damage to generally blow anyone up in an instance and it costs a lot. Snares are op, but immov on its own using talons is often too expensive based off players running forward momentum, but still a worthy option.

If you want to really apply pressure and actually be tankier... put on engine guardian. Does better than bloodspawn in this set up, but your health will yo-yo harder.

Full disclosure I’m playing a medium armor stam dk, but sometimes dabble on my mag dk. But I think stam is definitely better.

Rally ---> Blockade or else (No idea what to remove for Ele Drain, probably moving something to the 2H bar instead of Vigor)
Volatile Armor
*Temporal Guard*

No DOTs at all? Any decent player would move out of blockade (at least that's what they did when I tried to use it )

Front bar is 2h lich sword with:
Whip, embers, fossilize, cauterize, rally/forward momentum.

Back bar destro is:
Volatile, wings, engulfing, ele drain, blockade/talons.

Or

Back bar vma resto:
Volatile, wings, engulfing, fragmented, mutagen/rapid regeneration.

I always use temporal guard back bar or shifting standard. You can use resto ult too. Leap front bar always.

Don’t use vigor. Pelinials is a damage set with good 2-4pc bonuses. It allows us to run a heal and a damage buff thus freeing up one slot in our bar. It’s he only stam ability.

@888and888 it’s definitely not best in slot, but I really like veiled and bone pirate with bs. Sword and board and 2h. And I’m still a vamp for the stealth.

Ye I came to the same conclusion when trying pelinals in dk hybrid overa month ago and dropped the hybrid dk. Ye its great to get very high spell dmg which is otherwise realy hard to obtain but thats about it. No other reason to put leinals on. Hybrid as in using both stam or mag dmg skills is not gonna happen. You still need make the choice. stam skills for support or magicka for support.

@SkysOutThizeOut I put this build together for no-CP/BGs, interested in some feedback from someone with hybrid experience. It's mostly based on your build but with a few tweaks. I have all the dropped pieces I need but I haven't done all the crafting yet or put it to the test yet.

Not sold on replacing fossilize with stonefist, but I'm intrigued by the extra damage and resistances.

@Kartalin I think it’d do just fine. Basically what I noted in my notes. If you use chains, I’d drop stone fossilize. If you drop chains, you could keep stone tho (big damage, range, just niche). I’d consider running fragmented, the healing cinderstorm, or coag.

Major mending before rally, cauterize, lash, embers, leap is nice.

And obviously when you get the chance change jewelry to infused to maximize major and minor brutality.

One thing I didn’t advertise was that engine guardian was my main monster set because of the insane sustain, healing, mobility, and los it offered.

Seems like CP can help hybrid out greatly, Im unsure how much of a hit you would take with no CP.
