WHY then do we have so many people on the forums simply, and to put it bluntly, bitching.
The demographic for these whiners are all the same.. they all have; a good amount of play time in ESO, a long list of 'my PvE achievements', usually good spelling, and a serious hate for the game.
Why do you complain? There is literally no winning for ZoS with these people. They'r the ones saying the content is dry, repetitive and boring, so ZoS implement a new class, a potentially new PvP spot, a new fleshed out trial and a whole new area to the map, and then the forums become, 'why I quite so', 'a 40$ paywall for a rubbish class HA HA' etc..
It must be so *** for ZoS devs like Gena etc seeing the people who have the most experience with a 1 year anniversary tag, shitting on the game which they try and make as lively and enjoyable as possible.
Sorry for the long rant, but id love to hear your opinions, and specifically those who complain a lot.. I just wanna hear why you have such an issue in anything they do yet still put countless ours into the game..

Because it is the internet and that's what people on the internet do? Don't get me wrong, the forums are TOXIC and like in real life, the loudest are often the most misinformed.
Cuz there's a metric horse manure ton of problems with this game that goes unaddressed so when all the hype is towards new stuff.....well there ya go.

- Because new content means old problems get ignored again.
- Because a new class means old classes will get nerfed like templar did for warden.
- Because ZOS needs to do a whole release on existing quality of life issues before adding more content to shaky foundations.

would you rather the game stay in one spot and slowly become more stable.. or have new content to test, experiment and place around with?
Would you rather have a car which runs ok, or a really fast flash car which is prone to breaking down every now and then?

I think those complaining about the new class, et all, considering the lack of info are just complaining for the sake of it.
Of course there are performance issues that Zos has done more to make worse than make better and have patently ignored us pointing out clear problems with gaming systems (Recent GF admission they thought they fixed it but never headed out threads).
So Zos gives us plenty to be concerned with due to their management style (trying to be nice here).

Forums exist to be a medium in which the community communicates however if you're happy with the game state you're just playing and find no use in using the forum unless you're asking a question.
However, if you are bothered by something and it angers you, you use the medium to vent your frustrations with the hopes that those whom create the game see it. It is also too some degree self gratifying to see others agree with you, even more so if something gets done.
There are a great many positive threads on the forums but they're overshadowed by the negativity as negative emotions and statements and threads are generally louder than positive threads as its easier to rally people around anger than it is about hype or joy.
i.e The loudest people are usually the minority with the exception that when all sides that usually disagree with eachother are agreeing on a topic they are upset about then and only then are they a majority.
You have to take individual negative threads with a pinch of salt. You also have to understand that its impossible to tell how many people are making different threads from alt accounts with the sole purpose to troll. Its also unclear when someones trolling, you could argue that its usually when someone says something unfathomably stupid but then sometimes...people are just that stupid and so fourth. its really dragged out.
Too cut this short; Essentially - People are more willing to make threads when they want to complain than they are to make threads when they have no complaints. The forums is their only communication medium to the devs.

I sell BMWs for a living - I'll take that second choice....

I agree - ZoS defiantly have issues to sort out with server maintenance (especially in Cyro) but give them a break - they need to make money to function. Big DLC's like this are a money machine, but at least the Devs actually give a **** and appear on forums, do live shows and interact with the community - they'r all big nerds trying to make a game they love.
Give constructive criticism, don't be a ***

I know they need to make money. However, how much value is added because there is no other explanation for Rich's comment on the GF issue other than Zos willfully ignored our threads on the subject. Especially when examples of it happening when full groups queued which showed without a doubt the GF had not been fixed.
Sorry, but willfully ignoring our comments and threads on that issue is negligent management of this game. There is no other explanation for it.

When I come to the forums it’s to see if anything new has been posted as was the case with Elsweyr the other day. That was the first thread in hundreds I have seen over the past few months that actually gave me pause. The unending complaining I typically see I just skim over.
However, even in that post people were people complaining about Necromancy being OP and I don’t understand how in holy hell that anyone could claim that as an objective truth. We have literally seen nothing about the class so I don’t how it would be any better or worse than any other class they have introduced, especially since we have seen enemy NPC’s use what you would consider Necromantic abilities.
Like others said, I think people just like to complain. We live in a toxic society and culture and I don’t mean just America but the whole world. Complaining sells, it generates viewership/following and is a completely reinforced behavior by the way the same toxic dialogue about any given topic is constantly parroted back and forth ad nausem between the same loud obnoxious people which leads to a false numbers fallacy over anything you can think under the sun and more. Hell, there’s even a number of articles on how complaining is healthy so I don’t really ever see there being an end to toxic fandom and complaining in general. In the end you just got to shut it all off.
