Where is the "other" option? I can't get excited. How some people can be full of themselves and treat us with no respect, it's hard to get excited about anything they pull out. After all, will it work?

I'm not interested in Elsweyr or Khajits in general, it's not my thing. I tried to find a stamina character that suits my theme, but I lost my faith in ZOS after seeing what they did to the stamDK (come on, poison on a Dragonknight?!). So I don't thing they will turn the stamNecro into a sinister Deathknight who uses physical damage and bleeding effects. I bet there will be at least one disease or poison themed skill for the necromancer.. I can't stand those damage types.

I'm looking forward to the new chapter when it comes, but I'm not interested in all this datamined hype, and am taking a break from the forum until things have settled down somewhat.

Not excited for either because it just means more nerfs. And necro will be over performing for a while so that people will be encouraged to buy the DLC, and then they will be hit with the nerf bat, too, just like Morrowind and sustain, and Summerset and Swift.

I'm kinda glad it's finally Elsweyr, but I hate necromancers so no excitement from me for that... and another chance for ZOS to introduce a P2W class and ruin other classes in the process, so I'm not happy at the prospect, sadly.

I stopped getting excited about ESO updates, especially major ones. Almost each one requires retooling my builds more than any game I have played before. All because Zos has lacked vision in how they want this game to play. Something they claim they are currently working on created but we will see if they finally start managing this game properly.

Lore wise, I'm fine with necromancers being added to the game. Its no different than playing a sorc that has a clannfear summoned in towns. I don't plan on playing a necromancer at all, but if people want that, I'm happy for them.

I'm more concerned about the different breeds of Khajiit not being showcased. Granted they only need to create 3-4 new skeletons, and they just need to tweak the size of some currently existing animals and NPC's in game to bring to life quite a few of the furstocks. A secondary concern I have is having the entirety of Elsweyr released in one chapter. Last time they finished off a province in a chapter, we were left with mountainous ranges blocking off areas of the island, and certain cities being retconned as not been built yet. Which cities in Elsweyr will be up for the chopping block? How much of Elsweyr are we really going to be able to explore?

I always look forward to new story content. The creative team that they have making this stuff is top notch that has not only consistently delivered, but one-ups itself. The culture of Elsweyr in particular should be fascinating to explore, especially if they bring in a lot of the philosophy and religion of the Khajiiti people. The land as well should be great to see. There's tales of whole cities swallowed by sands... will we see this?

I was also looking forward to a new class, because a new class means new creative possibilities for characters to role play. However, I never do necomancers. I just don't. Not in any RPG I've ever played, whether tabletop or digital. I simply do not like the archetype. I don't know what I'm going to do with it. What keeps me from wholesale poo-pooing this development is my awareness that the name of a class and how it really feels in terms of flavor are not the same thing. You can build character concepts around the theme and aesthetic of class skills in ways that don't make "oh, this character is a sorcerer" central (or even relevant at all) to their identity. I'll probably end up doing that, if it is possible.
