Elsweyr is spelled wrong in that file name. I highly doubt ZOS would make a mistake like that.

Doubt it is a new class... I mean it might be, but it doesn´t say necromancer, it says necromancy. Which is kind of in Abnur Tharn´s vein to begin with.

Also apparently ZOS can´t spell Elsweyr B)

My guess is the future content will deal with Elsweyr, and a dragon break.

If I could hope, I´d like a Dragon Break to be implemented in order to have a higher difficulty zone, maybe a reconstructed Cyrodiil and IC while retaining the current ones in an alternate reality. Others have pointed out that putting together the pieces might mean actually making peace.. though they couldn´t really permanently change the game by removing the current status, maybe not even from a legal standpoint since they would change a product that they´ve sold to people as having certain content.

Hopefully the alternate realities in a Dragon Break could through some mechanic level out the playing field statswise. I´d like to see that.

    Oh and good find.

My guess is that it's a new class. These seem like crown store / account upgrade icons so I'd assume that they would put a whole class on the crown store (much like warden) rather than just a single skill line.

But Warden was put into the store after it's been a 1 year exclusive for buying Morrowind. Would be really weird to see Necromancer so soon related to the store.

And a Dragon Break, Necromancy and Elsweyr all put together? I mean how does this even makes sense?

Abnur Tharn using Necromancy is pretty much confirmed (remember the main quest where we conjured a Flesh Atronarch with his help) but how could this end the 3 banner war?

Those icons are just used to list the features of a chapter/DLC. Look at the one for Summerset:

    Skill line: Necromancy
    ???: Dragon

Elsweyr at the moment seems like a very far stretch to be related to the Chapter. It might be this year's Murkmire.

I think it's important to remember that Abnur Tharn saying he can bring peace to Cyrodiil doesn't actually mean it will happen. This is the guy whose previous plan to end the Interregnum and install a real emperor actually tore reality apart and allowed Molag Bal to implement his plan to take over. And yes I know Tharn was in on that and intentionally betrayed his allies...but to me that just adds another reason not to expect his current plan to work either. Edit: For some reason I keep mixing up Tharn and Mannimarco (maybe because I don't like or trust either of them and they both appear at similar points in the main story). It was Mannimarco's plan, not Tharns, but he sided with Mannimarco at first, basically to seize power for himself and his family. Whatever his exact role I wouldn't trust him as far as I could thrown him and I see no reason to expect his claim to bring peace to actually work.

As for Elsweyr, I'd love a chapter set there (even though I don't think ZOS could do it justice, looking at what they did with Summerset, parts of Morrowind and Valenwood) but I agree it seems unlikely. But...they've always hinted at the next location at the end of a release and the only hint in Murkmire was that we're going to Elsweyr.

It's information someone found by datamining the client. Somewhere in the files for ESO there are these icons, which aren't currently used, and the names are their file names, which generally hint at what they're for.

Well let´s think about this logically:

Seems reasonable that ZOS want a game design which doesn´t perpetually fuel the Three Banners War. I mean - it does get old and the new chapters have all taken place after the original MQ´s conclusion (sort of mostly, I mean you don´t have to do them in that order but it is implied and the dialogue doesn´t make sense otherwise). And really - the 3 banners war actually ends by the end of the MQ - you just get to experience alternate realities through Cadwell - so when I think about it the Dragon Break is already there, it is just created as Cadwell´s silver / gold which doesn´t work the way it did originally, anyway...

Also with 1T and expansions, and people being dropped in Summerset which makes no sense, they might want to tie up some loose ends. Because if you are new to the game at this point - it is a bloody mess in terms of what order the content should be played.

At the same time they can´t really accomodate both peace and war. Single player, yeah, but not in an MMO.

So, a Dragon Break, well, it makes sense actually. You can have players coexist in wildly different places in the storyline which coexist simultaneously. Old players get more closure and maybe we don´t have to consistently ignore the game when it talks about us not having a soul, and Dark Anchors dropping everywhere after we´ve finished the vanilla MQ. As for Elsweyr, there are other threads about why it makes sense, written by people who know a lot about TES lore.

Necromancy I guess people just think is cool. Personally I don´t care much for pets, living or dead.

Would Tuum not be a major lore breaker? I mean, Psijik was too so... why not.

If it's a Necromancer class I don't know why it says Necromancy then.

A new class AND a new skill line sounds too much though.

Is there anything else profession or skill line related to Dragons?

One thing I really want to see: a max level zone. For level 50. And just for that. None of the 1T or scaling bs that ruins the entire purpose of the game's initial story. Morrowind and Summerset should have been max level exclusive too like all the related DLCs honestly. I know this might be a bummer for new players but leveling to 50 is done so quickly nowadays. And max level players really could need some max level incentives besides trials.

    Hmm,

    - dragon
    - elsweyer
    - Necromancy

    Dragons as in Skyrim
    elsweyer as in elsewhere
    necromancy, resurrecting a dead game

So, dragons in another dead game.

Also, don't forget that the end of the Three Banners War doesn't have to mean no more PvP. The game starts in about 2E 582 and Tamriel won't be unified again until 2E 896 - more than 300 years. The 3 Alliances weren't the first factions to fight over Cyrodiil and they won't be the last.

Although I'm still sticking with the simpler theory that Abnur Tharn's plan simply won't work.
