Daggers should drop in pairs

I have been farming for 2 different sets from dungeons and have yet to find a single dagger. It makes me wonder if I will ever complete those sets since I will need 2 daggers for my dual wield character. Wouldn’t it make more sense for them to drop in pairs?

Not really. They are BiS now, sure, but Dual wield has 4 different weapons. If they want to change the drop, make it like vMA where you'll always get 2 weapons or one weapon and a shield.

It never drops. It should not take 10 years to complete a freaking set

Not especially. If you're not already, I would strongly recommend you run the dungeons with friends instead of in the group finder, and/or communicate with your team what you're looking for. Many players are entirely willing to give up jumk items they don't need if they know someone else in the group needs it for a build.

No they don't, they are a single slot item just like daggers are.

Want two daggers? grind for them or have them crafted like anyone who wants a 1H + Shield. Also, what about players who do not want to dual wield daggers. Some DW a Sword and Dagger.

I do run with guildies any chance I get to, but they will only run it so many times before it becomes burdensome for them.

The drop rate is that dismal.

Since two-handed weapons now count as two pieces it is only fair to make all one-handers drop either in pairs or with a shield - same way as ability-altering weapons.

Well if I'm being honest those players are either using it because they have to (don't have 2 daggers) or because they will use basically anything and this will not affect them

Maybe use axe and dagger for crit and bleed?

No, can't be. People would not do this if they cared about their builds. Ofc they would dual wield shields as well since all things should come in pairs.

    I know right?

If I do a vet dungeon, all full 5-piece sets (native to the dungeon) should drop when I’m done ... and go to my Collections menu so that I can retrieve when ZOS buffs it during a patch.

Same for battlegrounds, all three 5-piece sets should drop (in all armor weights) and go to Collections.

Actually, 5 piece armor set of Relequen was easy to get. 5 piece armor of any dungeon set is easy to get. I am talking about a specific weapon’s odds of dropping. Please do keep up.

If they were going to do this it should really apply to ALL one handed weapons, they should either drop in pairs or with a shield. But like other people said it's unlikely it would be changed because part of the design is to keep you grinding the dungeon for it.

You got that specific set easily, but you still got it one piece at a time, not a full matching set all together which is essentially what you're asking for here. You wouldn't wear just a Relequen helm on it's own - does that mean the game should never drop just a helm and should also provide you at least 4 other pieces to wear with it?

Axe/Dagger, for the Bleed and Crit bonus. Remember that bleed ignores the enemy's armor.

What's next? "Relequen body pieces should drop as a full set of armor. I mean, who wears only one piece of armor?"

No, wait, I know how this one goes. You condense the 5 body slots into a single equip slot. Then you combine the weapon pairs into single weapons, with no off hand option, and roll the jewelry into that. (Because getting the wrong combo of dagger/shield is so much better than having to schlep around town with a sword and axe equipped. Finally you combine the monster set into a single slot.

And... you've created a dumbed down build system.

    Congrats.

Legitimately, the ability to retrieve discovered items is one of the best features in Destiny 2. Though, the part where you can't retrieve gear post-Forsaken is kinda annoying.

One staff is enough to fill one bar. One dagger is not. By itself one dagger is useless.

Since ZOS already broke simple math and one two-handed weapon counts for two set bonuses I see nothing wrong with two one-handed weapons counting as one drop. This is parity and fairness people were asking for.

Dropping in pairs, no. What might be possible is for you to get a choice from three RNG items. This could improve the drop odds but still leaves in ZOS random that they love to use.

I can see getting two DW weapons when a DW weapon drops since that is the case with the special weapon sets like vMA. However, that would not guarantee getting two if the same DW weapon type. It could be one dagger and one sword.

Since Zos made 2H weapons = 2 set pieces this makes sense now.
