could be coincidence/rng, it looks like:
    insect part -> equal amounts
guts -> higher chance of cucumber
worms -> higher chance of leech
crawlers -> higher chance of blobfin

That tracks with my experience. I have more crawlers than other bait in my inventory, and I caught more blobfin than the others combined.

I change to a different bait after every catch. Since doing this, I no longer get the same fish multiply times in a row.

I started doing this on my last 4 characters, and it seemed to work well. I never caught more than 1 extra of any fish.

Seems pretty even. I always use Crawlers bait since I have way more of those than anything else, and put my extras in my bank after the event. I currently have 19 each of the Black Marsh Cucumber and Shadowfen Creeping Leech, and 23 Histmuck Blobfin.

I'll probably break my luck but with only 2 days of fishing so far, I've only had to cast 3 times on each day. The first, second and third casts each caught one of the quest fish. That's with insect bait.

I've also had to put Ember away before fishing.

It's random. Each of those three has, at one time or other, been the one that I just couldn't seem to catch.

This thread is a blast from the past XD (You know, sometimes forum necros are actually fun- especially if they're still pertinent)

I'm sitting on a 6 year old pile of fish I accumulated back when I first participated in the festival in 2018...That fish pile is as old as this thread and I still haven't gotten through it. I was wondering what that smell was in my inventory

Maybe the real rarest fish was the one festering in our inventory along the way?

    Depends on the day.
I've had difficulty with all three.

I've been playing this event since 2018, and I don't think any one of the three is more rare than the others.

      Greetings,

We have closed this topic as it was originally created in December 2018. In many cases, it's better to create a new thread on a topic that you want to discuss as opposed to bumping one that is rather old.

      Thank you for your understanding.
