Shennanigans on the chests in Rawlka

Over 300 lockpics used so far and these chests wont open. I HATE the lockpicking system from the oblivion style and much prefer the Skyrim method.

this is a farce of a quest for the new life festival.

If you have trouble with the chests I can suggest trying to ask zone chat for someone to help you with it.

Check FCO Lockpicker addon for easier lockpicking.
With some settings changed it shows you green mark when you should unlock.

Did you go through all 300 lock picks on one lock?

If so, you are dedicated to this event or that pokemon mount.

I just hit this issue this morning. I've done this event every year and have the achievement for doing the locks in a shorter time on all of my characters. However, this year, the Advanced chest feels more like a Master chest. I had no issues with the simple or intermediate chest but the advanced chest just seemed broken for me. Also, I don't remember having a problem with the chest last night on a character with high legederman but without auto-pick. Not sure why.

One quick tip for this. You can group up on this quest with other people. Find someone with auto-pick for the advanced chest and pick the other two. As long as the three chests are picked in the time limit, it doesn't matter if one person does them all or if 3 people do them as a group.

You must be doing something wrong. Lockpicking is the easiest mechanic in this game. Just let go of your mouse/controller button when the pin starts shaking on the screen. Rinse and repeat for all of them. It also makes a noise when you're supposed to let go.

My son is deaf and 13 years and he could do it when he was 9.

Not to bash or something, but please post a video of you doing it. I am curious where the difficulty lies for you.

When the New Life Festival was introduces, I hated Rawlka quest. I was new to game - I spent tons of lockpicks. Finally I managed to do it once in a group.
I thought I will never learn how to use lockpics. I'm sort of slow in such things. Yet I learned, and now I enjoy Rawlka quest.

Suggestions:
1. Group up. Others can help you open the chests.
2. Get the force-lock passive from Legerdemain. One button push has a chance to pop the lock.
3. Skip that quest.
4. Practice your lockpicking.

You know, it took me a while to understand that I should release just before that vertical thingamabob really starts to vibrate. Until then? I couldn't open any chest. Lockpicking didn't make any sense to me until then, as it seemed totally random.

It was not a matter of skill as such, rather a matter of the very understanding what actually is the sign that one should release. Skill came with practicing after that.

IIRC last year someone had an issue with the three chests and once they posted a video we could see why. He was opening the chests but not getting the coins inside.

300 lockpicks with napkin math you are looking at 2.5 hours.

So we are to believe that you spend 2 and a half hours sitting in rwalka trying to open chests, without at least asking what is going on to the inevitable 100s of players that came and left within that time?

People could legit do all 9 quests on 1 character then come back on their second or even their third character and you would still be there trying to open a simple chest.

I believe you have difficulty with locking picking, sure, but have a very hard time wrapping my head around that. How did you not ragequit way before then.

Also, the devil symbol? Ouroboros is a symbol of infinity, so ∞ is a devil as well?

IIRC, you can group up and each open a chest in succession to beat the timer.

As others have mentioned, grouping with people and having one person open each chest works. You can even add more people into the group who don't have to do anything but cheer you on.

That is pretty much all the time you have to do it, too! That said, I can usually get the achievement the first time this year. I wonder if they changed the time or if there is a bug. Maybe I am just better.

Force lock 3 times if you have max legerdemain. Didn’t fail once today. Was done in about 15seconds.

My favorite of the quests cause it's the fastest one to complete if you force the locks.

Its an easier method, press down until it snaps, remember position and try again, repeat for all pins.

This will always unlock the easier locks, It might fail on expert locks if very unlucky.
It unlock master locks a bit better than half the time.
No reason to try to be fancy then brute force work well enough.

And yes using an mod or simply level up your ledgerman, you will get gold doing so as an bonus. Or use an mod.
