Would you pay crowns to pick up & turn in writs at your house?

I suspect it would be nerfed some way, like the banker and merchant. With the merchant unable to repair gear and the banker unusable for guild bank and guild trading, I'd hate to think how they could muck this up.

I think there are more important QoL changes that could be looked at first - i.e. text search in traders for console or fixes to reduce character load screens - doing writs on 8 characters usually takes me over an hour.

They would probably make you turn them in outside and only allow you to pick them up inside your house if those are anything to go by. I wouldn't mind that, but it would not make it that much more convenient than just leaving your toon in the turn in place to begin with.

Then again could just make it so luxury writs have to be turned in purely outdoors but let you turn in basic ones in home, that would be dope.

I'd like it. And I'd be more than happy to buy it. ANYTHING would be better than the mess that is every crafting area around Tamriel.

Summerset is tolerable and Auridon is OK. That's about it.

Tried them both, wasn't thrilled with either one. Vivec is for me the best - but damn I'm tired of the idiots with their pets out. That would be the main draw for me really - NO PETS.

My favorite is Elden Root. The mount trainer is right down the path to the writ turn in. All the tables are on top of one another, except provision which is right next to the turn in. And the luxury vendor is also there.

This would be a bad thing as it would further reduce player activity in public areas.

I have 15 characters all maxed crafting, I have my own little crafting house in Daggerfall (captain Margaux house). I would love this and have asked for it before, at present when I do my daily crafting writs I have a load screen at login, a load screen when I enter the house after picking up the notices from outside and then another load screen when I leave the house to hand it my writs.

I can actually craft all my dailies and travel from the house to the drop off point in roughly the same time that it takes to endure the load screens.

Long story short... it would save me almost an hour per day.. that’s a QoL change in the right direction.

If you're talking about the ability to buy writ boards and turn in locations as permanent additions to my home, I'd consider it based on price.

If you're talking about paying each time I do my writs, that will be a huge NO. I will potentially pay for a permanent unlock, but I'm very hesitant to pay per use for consumables, which is what that would basically be. I'd never make enough money back on my writs to cover the cost when you convert gold to crowns. It would be like throwing away money.

Do you actually enjoy crafting writs?

Maybe the correct action here isn't to streamline the grind of completing writs on multiple characters, but rather recognize that is bad gameplay which no one really enjoys and to replace it with something enjoyable -- or at the very least, less tedious -- that results in the same income without having to relog 15 times?

Considering this is ZOS we're talking about, they'd nickel and dime it to a ridiculous amount that, while convenient, would be expensive AF.
I'm talking ZOS making you pay for a writ board for each of the crafts, then pay again for the corresponding turn in box and considering that even the gimped Banker/Merchant cost 5k crowns, It can well be into the 50k+ crowns just to get everything.

Then, we have the whole furniture limit thing to contend with and it looks like more trouble than its worth honestly.

Maybe not regular writs, but an "Assistant Master Writ Mediator" to act as an in-house MW turn in NPC (will not sell anything, simply exchanges vouchers for completed MW's) sounds fine to me.

Why are so many people willing to ask for features that you have to pay for with rl money? If they ever added this to game they should be earnable in game. The crown store madness needs to stop.

Yes, assuming it was reasonably priced.

Which I appreciate is a big assumption.

Also, it would need to be either a very neat, single piece of furniture, or an npc, or something; because I don't really have room for two giant boards and a load of chests in most of my crafting houses.

Maybe the NPC could be a mailman/courier, who gives you the requests (in the form of a pop-up scroll) then (theoretically) takes the completed writ items from your house and delivers them to the chests in one of the cities?

While it is unlikely that I would purchase this, I see nothing wrong with making it available to those who want it.

I don't have any objections either ... if other players want to do this.

Though I am sometimes shocked and amazed by the level of laziness that some players aspire to ... even end game crafters.

We've had players in one of my trading guilds object to certain house locations as a guild hall because it was "one extra loading screen".

That's not laziness, though, is it?

In fact, it could be argued that it's hyperactiveness, as they don't like being made to wait.

If it was done like that, then I would totally agree it would be worse than nothing.

One of the main problems with the crown store is that (on the whole) it doesn't differentiate between those who pay a sub and those who don't (but, might be persuaded to buy the occasional item).

Really, most of these things should be in-game, for those who pay a sub.

Especially if the sub was slightly higher than it is now.

The more things that can be done in the house and the less people travel around to do them, the emptier the world will look to new players.

Not sure how good all the high ping, low frame rates and random DCs, due to overcrowded writ areas, make the game look to new players, either.

Not only that, but the areas will still be full of the aformentioned newer players, as most of them don't have houses and/or crafting stations, yet.

Only thing I would pay crowns for:
disposal of Marketing & the budget and staff cost going to improve the EU server and network connections
disposal of the stamblade only balancing team and the funds being use for the above server/network fixes in general

Yes if it's not too expensive and especially to avoid wasting time in loading screens. I've got a very bad connection and a high ping in TESO.
