Would you pay crowns to pick up & turn in writs at your house?

Rather than zone in, you can pick up the writs, craft, and turn in your writs at your house.

I'd personally love to park my crafting alts at my house, especially now that I'm not training mounts anymore.

While it is unlikely that I would purchase this, I see nothing wrong with making it available to those who want it.

I do like to do my writs in Rawlk'ha to get my daily dose of Khajiit lady sentencing Finendrin to the stocks (may he never show proper repentance :D) but, like you said, I often leave my main toon in my house, and have to port, since I don't have a shrine nearby, so it'd be more convenient to pick them up and craft them at home. Provided the service didn't cost as much as the assistants, though I suspect if they ever went ahead with it, it would be pretty expensive. Might reduce traffic/lag in the main city hubs though...

Been thinking about this a lot lately because I'm considering buying a house but they don't seem to have much utility beside the extra storage, crafting stations and dummies. It'd be nice to be able to do writs like you suggest but I'm not willing to pay crowns for any of that. If you could purchase writ boards and turn-in coffers with vouchers, just like the other crafting stuff for houses, that would be awesome.

but I would buy it for any currency in this game if would be fine, not also overpriced how we get with "graphical updated" outfit station to house for writ vouchers....

I think it could be a massive convenience ... unless, of course, ZoS nerfed it like they do other similar services.

    Maybe.

I have a dedicated crafting character so one of my considerations for which house he lives in is proximity to writ boards and crafting stations. With this system he could live anywhere and collection writs, complete them and turn them in without leaving home which would open up more options for houses.

But which option I'd pick would depend on a number of factors, mainly whether there actually is a house which suits him better away from a town with writ boards and how much the upgrade costs. Based on past experience with the crown store I suspect it would cost far more than I'm willing to pay to get a slightly more convenient system so I'd probably end up not getting it.

I suspect it would be nerfed some way, like the banker and merchant. With the merchant unable to repair gear and the banker unusable for guild bank and guild trading, I'd hate to think how they could muck this up.

I think there are more important QoL changes that could be looked at first - i.e. text search in traders for console or fixes to reduce character load screens - doing writs on 8 characters usually takes me over an hour.

No. Three of my houses are right outside cities with crafting stations and drop-off points. Putting them in my house would be redundant. Besides, it doesn't make sense that the drop-off would be in anyone's house.

I still don't understand this "loading screen" problem. If you log out while in your house, the game puts you outside the door the next time you log in, so having these things in your house would actually increase the loading screens.

I personally wouldn't pay for it because I don't really see why, I mean it's no big trouble to port to a city to do the writs. At least not troubling enough to be worth investing any money.

But I'd love to see more utility for our homes in general so I'd still support the idea.

That's never happened to me. If I log off inside my house I'm always inside the house again when I log back in, usually in the same spot.

Don't really see a need. There're probably other towns good for it too, but I'm doing it always in Devon's Watch in Stonefalls. Everything right next to each other, both writ posts, all crafting stations around just a step beyond. Delivering writs is close by as well, just down the stairs to the docks. Even with an untrained mount it's too quick & easy to wish for any more convenience.

I don't have any objections either ... if other players want to do this.

Though I am sometimes shocked and amazed by the level of laziness that some players aspire to ... even end game crafters.

We've had players in one of my trading guilds object to certain house locations as a guild hall because it was "one extra loading screen".

I am not against the idea however for others that want it, might even help cutting down on lag in some parts and give incentive for guilds to add it to their guild house.
I just moved to Windhelm and while it doesn't have the most ideal layout for crafting, I love heading out into town to do my writs.
