That statement summarizes most of TES V: Skyrim, Argonians before ESO, Altmer before ESO, Khajiit before ESO, etc.
Maybe my Morrowind bias is showing... lol

I play healers or DPS often for vet dungeons and trials (NA, CP810+). I play mostly elves or Argonians.
I primarily play Damage-Based stuff in PvP, but occasionally I'll play something tanky or got the heals.
I also love gaining more knowledge both metaphysical and mundane regarding TES lore.
I also occasionally role-play, but I prefer playing the game.0 -

✭Wood ElfBosmer and Nords are my favorites from strictkly enjoyment perspective. I have grown more fond of Dark Elfs after Morrowind.
Over my gameplay time in ESO, I have also grown to like Breton and Kats.
High Elfs, I still cannot enjoy playing. Too much hatred from lore.
Redguards are too META for me. I am the type of person who hates being told that I have to play a certian way and Redguards have been the best Stamina Race almost since inception. I would more than likely give them a better shot if they weren't the most over preforming stam race.
Orcs and Kats are fun and have their place. I have a character of each.
Imperials are nice but behind a paywall on PC (on console, I got them from launch with the way things turned out). I do not see the need to pay money for a race that I have little interest in playing since the game is more geared towards magic than stamina in most instances and cosmeticly, they almost mirror Bretons.0 -

I like Nords, not because Skyrim, but because of the Old Ways, the Ancient Nord pantheon. Ancient Nordic lore is very interesting, especially how they view Lorkhan/Shor as being the champion of men as opposed to being vilified by Altmer. It's different and unique from the standard religion/mythos, which was created by merging (changing) all the cultural myths into a weak-sauce version of itself. (Redguard is fairly unique, to be fair).
That, plus the fact that Shor (although dead) always reappears in the form of avatars and mantling. These dead Nordic heroes always seem to pop up in history.
EDIT: Dunmer are a close second because there is something very satisfying about them, as a people, thumbing their noses at Altmer society and beliefs.Edited by The_Lex on December 6, 2018 2:28PM2
