I found that lag makes it hard to pick locks, but 600 a day is really a lot

Is it really faster to try and force the lock rather than try to pick it? You can't possibly be finding 600 chests in a day, which means you'd have quite a few unsuccessful attempts and then have a short cooldown between tries.

Sure I can. Because what you fail to realize is, even if you successfully force pick a lock, you still lose that lockpick buddy. I go through half a stack of lockpicks doing my route because like I said, even if every single one of my force locks is successful (which 85% of the time they are), I still break that pick.

I don't need anything for myself. However I would like to surprise my fiance. He works so hard for our family and doesn't always have the time to farm for reagents. We help each other out as much as possible but as working parents and doing trials and progression runs in our spare time leaves us little time for farming. I accounted for the lockpicks breaking on even successful forces. I was thinking more about the cooldown if you fail. I guess I forgot about the ledgermain skill which increases your chances to force a lock since whenever I'm picking a lock, the chance is abysmally low for anything other than a simple lock, as none of my characters currently have any points in it. Seems like a lot of chests in one day to me. But, if you run a route for any length of time, I suppose they'll add up.

I know it's not in the spirit of gifting, but he's actually only 40 Gems! I'm not saying this as a 'you don't need/deserve gifts', not at all!!! I just mean you could buy him directly from there if your luck with the Crates missteps. Not wishing that upon you, either! If we could gift with Gems, I'd send him right over!

Fair enough! Yea when I get in the zone I can use up 25 picks on a 15 minute loop, that's assuming none of my force locks fail. On average it's probably closer to 30-35 picks for a 15 minute run. If I were to do 4 hours of straight farming these kinds of loops, that's where I would end up going through a few stacks of picks. That being said, you're right 600 broken picks is on the extreme side, I only farm that intensely once in a while. Usually it's closer to 200-300 broken picks a day for me. Still like you said, it adds up and my own supply of lockpicks over the years has dwindled to the point where I have to actually trek out to guild traders and try to find them for a sustainable price.

Searching guild traders for cheaper stacks of lockpicks is not my idea of fun, so I figured it would be a gift I would ask for in a thread where such a thing was taking place.

So thanks again for the people that generously sent me spare lockpicks and cheers @xan4silkb14_ESO , we're on the same page.

I was mostly good this year! Met some new friends, aided some lovely Psijic folk. They even gave me a huge manor I don't know what to do with!

Hi Santa

This year I've been a pretty good girl, but I don't need anything for myself. On the other hand, my husband just joined me in ESO, but he is very sad that he has no cool mounts. He wishes desperately to have a camel. Seeing him sad makes my heart ache, but I cannot do anything to help him. I know that that's a lot to ask, but that would make both of us truly happy.
