I'm thinking that maybe ZOS will alternate Chapters between nostalgia and new every year. Vvardenfell was Morrowind nostalgia, Cyrodiil Oblivion nostalgia, and I wouldn't have thought they'd miss out on a 10th Skyrim anniversary to release a chapter of a good chunk of the rest of the province.

As for DLC's... I hope Elsweyr gets a DLC zone before the decade is out, and I have my doubts about ZOS releasing an Elsweyr chapter. If they ever manage to sort out spellcrafting, they could release it alongside a Winterhold DLC, or maybe a Telvanni Isle one. I doubt we'll see a Thornmarsh zone for a while, since we've so recently gotten an Argonian DLC and a Dunmer chapter.

I mean, my 2019 and 2020 ones are interchangeable, but definitely the skyrim chapter for the skyrim anniversary.

We've had an EP chapter, and an AD chapter, so we're due for a DC one.

So Colovia or Hammerfell first.

Then we haven't had a southeast chapter, so Elsweyr is a good choice, hopefully extending as fast as Bravil and Leyawinn. It seems too soon for Black Marsh.

Then Skyrim. And maybe Solstheim as a DLC.

Then Black Marsh.

factions are irrelevant when it comes to content releases. if orsinium was released today it would be a chapter.

I will agree with the Skyrim 10th Anniversary chapter.

Guessing what ZOS is going to do also includes guessing what BGS is going to do with TES 6. BGS is the alpha male here, so ZOS will yield to whatever they want. There are a number of possibilities. If TES 6 takes place in Tamriel, I think it will be in one of two places. It will either be in Elsweyr, or it will be in Hammerfell and High Rock. If it is in Elsweyr, ZOS won't go there. If it is in Hammerfell and High Rock, it will be a 4th Era return to Daggerfall, and ZOS won't do Hammerfell. (I think TES 6 is coming in 2H2021)

This means that the '19 or '20 chapters could be in Hammerfell, Elsweyr, or both, but only depending on what BGS wants to do with TES 6.

Actually, if you look at the map of all the cities, we've been to every single one of them. Ergo, we've already covered all of the Valenwood.

The only place we haven't seen is the walking city of Falinesti. We've been to all the places it could be, but it isnt there. Falinesti could be, at best, a dlc.

The only way they could have a Valenwood DLC is either through the 2 dungeons DLC that they release third quarter, or if they decide to head to wherever Falinesti buggered off to. Apparently they seem to want to leave that to Bethesda, along with the Imga, so it doesn't seem too likely that we'll get anything along those lines in ESO unfortunately

Nah. Doesn't really care which zone will be next or next-next, everything is equally nice-to-see right now. We won't be getting something mind-blowing after Summerset's buildings not being "like from the books", and I'm okay with that. Swamp, sand, snow, bring it on. All of it. Or even Daedric planes. Lore can be mind-blowing, tho.

My main consern is a bit different. I just hope I won't have to wait to save Darien for ANOTHER four years.

I don’t think there will be 3 more chapters, if I had to make an educated guess I’d say we may see two more chapters before content is stopped and the game is put into maintenance mode (they will do server maintenance fix a few bugs but no more new content except crown store)

With the release of Fallout76, this will free zos up to slowly faze out active content dev for ESO and to move on the a new game. This makes sense in a lot of ways for a lot of reasons. No one at zos is going to lose this it job, but to expand and grow as a studio they need to be given the freedom to do more than just ESO.

My guess is this new game will debut on PS5 and Xbox Scarlet which folks are saying dev kits for those consoles are already in game devs hands.

Sony CEO back in May told investors that the PS4 is nearing the end of its life cycle

I think these console will be announced sometime late 2019 or mid 2020 with a late 2020 or mid 2022 launch.

ZOS is already beginning to look to the future with a new IP, and this coincides with Bethesda taking back the reigns of the TES franchise sometime post 2020 and ZOS being allowed to move on to a new project where they can creatively grow and become an even better studio.

I bet ZOS next mmo/online game will be a big hit. It will put them on the map big time.

That sounds about right. They might swap Skyrim and Cyrodiil though depending on projected population trends or Bethesda's release schedule of TES VI. A Skyrim chapter will easily double ESO's population, provided the game is still relevant at the time.

Hammerfell is extremely unlikely if TES VI is taking place there. Unless they want it to use it as marketing for TES VI.
