Cyrillic wouldn't be as jarring if ZOS actually bothered to fix the letter spacing. At least on PC, there's this awesome Better Cyrilic Font addon for that, which I wholly recommend.

Personally, anglicized transcription of cyrillic annoys me a lot more. I can mentally filter out the "бу́квы" without thinking about it; with Latin letters, not so much.

Seriously tho, if they make extra chat channels for fench or germans, they should make one fur russkies as well. Or stay american-centristic and go like "English [censored for security reasons], learn it!" throughout the game which would not be very nice...

Weird, playing on PC EU, I see English, French, Spanish and other chat every day. No "everybody else makes an effort to speak English", why should they? I even think I saw greek letters once. There's really no issue. It's the EU server which means a potential dozen languages and absolutely no need to change that.

ESO is translated and available in French and German, that's why there are official chat channels for these languages. Russian is not an official ESO language, I think it's the only reason for not having the ruzone channel.
