There's been a breakout of Russian speakers on PC EU writing in Russian in the zone chat.
Everybody else makes the effort to speak in English or write in the appropriate language zone chat but Russians don't have one. It's gotten quite annoying and alienating seeing the chat filled with incomprehensible characters 1/3rd of the time.
Can we get a Russian zone chat already?

If you can not read the message it is obvious that it is not for you, is it so hard to ignore?

Honestly you can keep your backward letters and letters that look like numbers. Id rather learn German or Japanese.

Belarusian, Rusyn, and Ukrainian players would probably have reservations about using a "Russian" chat as opposed to an "East Slavic" one, even though it would still be four languages.
Cyrillic characters do not necessarily mean Russia. And not all schools in Europe teach multiple languages to their students. The "annoying and alienating seeing the chat filled with incomprehensible characters" works both ways.

google says more than 50 languages use cyrillic fonts. are you sure that spam was in russian?
But when your language is in Cyrillic (like mine), you can read it and tell which one is it. Basically every time I see Cyrillic, it's always been Russian. Belorussian, Russian and Ukrainian are pretty much the same except for minor differences, you won't see any other Cyrillic language being used, because the other people try to speak in English.

Nah, unlike us Americans, Russians aren't offended by everything little thing. They would just tell you to F Off essentially and continue to speak/type Russian in chat .

When they speak in Russian, it's obvious they aren't trying. If they are attempting to speak in English, then they are respecting everyone else who is trying which is commendable. You can't tell people's nationality by the way the speak English, why are you making an issue of that. It was never an issue.
I've been in a few PUGs where only one person knows Russian and types nothing but Russian in group chat. Sadly the only Russian words I'm familiar with is привет (hello) and спасибо (thanks), but it's enough to understand that they're trying to communicate with the rest of us to some extent.Chicharron wrote: »If you can not read the message it is obvious that it is not for you, is it so hard to ignore?
