Quick tip for people who don't normally have ESO+: the free trial includes double bank space and all your materials moving to the craft bag, which makes it a good time to sort through all the other stuff you've got.

You might find there's stuff you don't actually need and can sell, like 400 extra soul gems, worth 12,000g. (Not that I've just done that...I heard it happened to a friend once.)

P.S. don't forget to dye your costumes too.

Also, you can fill a junk house with all your extra stuff. I made a furniture store one time. When I lost plus it stayed that way and I shopped there, but all sales were final. ;)

I laughed WAY too hard at that for some reason, lol.

I use these ESO+ events to stock up on a year's worth of crafting mats so I can do crafting writs without having to deal with holding bunches of mats.

This time I stocked up on extra mats for the Anniversary Event writ dailies for my alts.

I'm usually pretty good at getting rid of stuff I don't need so I may have sold some before. I'm also pretty casual and play slowly so it takes me a while to build up large collections of anything. I normally keep about 10 soul gems on each character, but each characters ones had crept up (especially the sorcerer and warden who fill the empty ones). Individually it didn't seem like anything worth worrying about, but when I put them all in the bank it was obvious I had way too many.

Log into a character, open the crown store and go to the ESO+ tab along the top (next to login rewards and gifting). There's a button on there to activate the free trial.

That's awesome! When I first started playing, I made a friend in a delve, and he gave me 75 soul gems. I'd never seen so many at one time, lol. That helped me so much, and I'll never forget that kindness.

I *think* I remember reading in a thread here that you still have access to the craft bag for crafting/removal, but you can't add anything else to it unless you actually subscribe. You'll have all your stuff.

When your sub ends, you can still pull things out of craft bag, just not add more. Additionally, mats you use pull first from craft bag, not inventory.

Another thing you can do is buy the furnishing from the achievement vendor that requires plus, if you have plus.

Also some of the dlc dungeons give you free stuff if you enter them, or if you beat them on normal. Try to snag those items as they should be pretty easy to get.

What happens to all the stuff in your craft bag when ESO+ ends? Does it disappear forever, or can you not pick up anything else until you clear the space again?

Anything in the craft bag will stay in there. Any new materials you pick up will go into your inventory, just like before. The big change is that materials in the craft bag will be used first, so the ones in your inventory won't get used up until there's none in the bag.

But again IMO that's a good prompt to think about what materials you actually need to keep. I tend to keep whatever ended up in the crafting bag, but for example when I found after a previous trial I had 600 steel ingots in my craft bag and 200 in my inventory I decided I really didn't need that extra 200 so I sold them.

To be honest I tend to forgot about DLC access being part of ESO+ because I buy all the DLC I want to play. Although that's kind of what prompted this topic - because I buy the DLC and I don't feel like I need the extra inventory space most of the time I can fall into thinking once I've logged into each character once to dump their materials into the crafting bag I'm done with the trial.

But with 7 characters it gets hard to keep track of everything, even with addons, so the opportunity to dump it all into the bank and go through it together is very useful.
