They should do this in the format of the patch notes.
Crown Store
[*] Reduced the cost reduction of crown sales to 5% from 10%.
Developer comment:We felt that 10% were too much of a drain on our purse and 5% better reflects our intentions of earning more money.
what a bunch of whinging whining wasters of air you all are!
Its a simple enough deal - pay the sub for the defined benefits - or don't.
why there is there an expectation of 'free stuff' at all?
Too many people with too great a sense of entitlement...
Being a customer with a complaint does not equal whiny and entitled.
Learn the difference. You've got no right to berate paying customers with a legitimate grievance.
In no walk of life are you entitled to benefit retrospectively from a promotion of a product that you already bought.
So you do NOT have a legitimate grievance.
So why on earth do you think you should get something because others are benefiting from a short free sample?
The effectiveness of the marketing now? Not that great. The other two pictures past the crown stack were of the Bal statue and the 2015 Green Narsis Guar Black Fredas bundle. It's just so vague and coy. Instead of a "Free stuff!" approach, they're taking a "Trust us!" approach. Which is tone deaf because while there are a lot of nitpicks and opinions out there, there's been a pervasive cloud of negativity for a while. They should be spending advertiser dollars to rise above that cloud, even at the expense of possibly spoiling some of the surprises they have in store.
Unless their idea of spoilers is re-releasing a 2015 bundle, which in that case, holy *** fork.

All customers have rights that extend beyond the point of purchase. Customers of an ongoing paid service also have the right to voice concerns or complaints about the quality of said service.
Just because you feel they ought not to doesn't make it so. And no matter how you feel, berating others as "wastes of air" is unacceptable. Would advise you remove your head from your rear.
I have repeatedly asked why people think they are entitled to free stuff on top of their subscriber-only benefits during this free trial and nobody has put forth a rational answer.

But I don't see any complaint about the quality of said service - just whinging about not getting free stuff. And is that REALLY the best you could come up with?

Zos was probably wetting our whistle for a new crate season and they are already giving us that every month now. They may be testing to see if it affects new subs they get from the trial.
As an eso+ subscriber you are already getting the defined subscriber only benefits (crowns etc).
It was a simple contract and you paid for it and you are getting what you paid for.

This is something to take note of moving forward, for those of you subscribed to ESO Plus, or thinking about subscribing.
Free crates during ESO Plus trial events were an unstated ESO Plus benefit. These are being granted by ZOS out of "contract" and they can do more of these, or less of these, as they see fit. In other words, ZOS does not consider them to be part of the advertised ESO Plus benefit. It is just something that they did on a whim, so to speak. ESO Plus benefits are a business calculation, first, then they might consider doing something to show appreciation.
Don't subscribe to ESO Plus expecting more than they advertise that they are giving on the ESO Plus page in the store.
Personally, I think it would have been better for them to have rolled the free crates during the Trial period into the formal ESO Plus benefits, rather than cut them, but it is possible that they did not see this complaint coming. We do get a lot of crates for free from them. Easily more than 100 since they started doing this. Still, I'm considering that ZOS has scraped together quite the collection of regularly poked open wounds with the players. They really don't need more of them.
