GPU utilization based on location

Anyone can explain why GPU is being used at only 40-60% in public locations, but when entering a delve it goes to 95%-100%? It`s not a complain, I would like to see my GPU being ued 80-90% EVERYWHERE.. not just in Delves... I have 50-60 FPS in the wilds, but in delves Im at 200FPS.

Is there a hidden settings that ESO won`t use more GPU in the wilds?

    Change your shadows to low.

Thats not the question lol. Im not looking in a way to improve my FPS. Im looking to increase the GPU utilization in the wilds. Its only using 50-60% of my GPU as opposed to 90-100% in delves. I want it to use the same i nthe wilds also to get more FPS.

Changing shadow to low kept the same FPS value of 50-60 but reduced GPU load now to 30-35%... thats NOT what I want lol

I changed the user setting capped FP to allow for higher rates which is how Im hitting the 200-240 in delves, but it just wont let me use the GPU when not in a delve

Check you CPU usage (on a thread by thread basis). Load in the Open world is higher on the CPU so you may very well be CPU bound in the open world (even if its a single core) so your GPU is waiting on instructions from the CPU hence lower utilisation.

Inverse would be true in dungeons where its alot easier on the CPU in my experience so able to pump out much higher FPS. As a result your GPU utilisation will be higher as its able to be fed more information in order to pump out more FPS.

The game is CPU bottlenecked. So when it’s bottlenecking, your gpu use goes down as it waits on the CPU. When you’re in a low population instance like a group dungeon, your FPS will be high due to vsync being off and low cpu use, and by extension your gpu use will be much higher.

It sucks. But that’s why. I use the DSR mode to render at a high resolution and down scale so my gpu is not so underutilized. I’ll settle for 100 FPS over 200. Lol

I tried modifying the threads usages, I went from 1 to 15 to 8 but no changes. I guess I`m stuck with that :(
