Can The Golden also offer Weapons?

Farming weapons is equally painful as farming jewelry. It'd be nice if they were also available to purchase.

She doesn't offer dungeon/trial gear though, except monster sets? I thought that, aside from monster helm sets, she only trades in overland jewelry.

Also as far as I know the reason jewelry was added in the first place was because golden jewelry for dungeon and overland sets was simply unavailable prior to jewelcrafting. Not because it was overly hard to obtain but impossible.

She always offers two dungeon jewellery sets, but no trial gear.

This is such a good suggestion. People who want to farm gear still can, but there is another gold sink in the game for people who want to buy. It would be easy enough to put another NPC beside the golden who sells all the weapon types, all in nirnhoned (to justify the huge cost).

It would be really, really neat if there were several ways to get something. Like... monster helmets, as in , you can either get the right drop from a dungeon, or PvP for them... personally I would also add a tiny chance for undaunted daily missions...

Same for all those special weapons, after a while (say, a year or two), add a secondary way to get those. Or two secondary ways, for example, either you get a weapon for completing an arena/dungeon, or you buy it with lots of AP you PvP for way more then the runs, or you have some "easier but taking waaaay longer" way to earn them through activities even average solo players could do... that way, -everyone- has a chance, only those who do the "proper" activity will get there faster.

Also... considering how many weapons there are, and how limited their droppings... it -really- would make sense to give out all bind-on-pickup stuff as "token" (or rather, special drop that a special artisan can turn into a weapon of your choice! Same for monster helmets I would say, to avoid people getting frustrated over the gods of the die roll hating them...)

Think its a great idea. Not everyone wants to continually farm for the weapon they want. There should be another option to get those weapons.

The Golden sells Jewelry of both Overland AND Dungeon sets, just not Trials. It's how I got my Ebon Armory and Automaton Jewelry.

I can't believe none of the usual suspects have jumped into this thread to scold y'all for being lazy "socialists" who want to get everything for nothing, blah blah blah...

Seriously, it should ALWAYS be possible to get gear via PvE OR PvP activities. Master's Staff, Asylum Staff, etc are all BIS for some PvP builds, so it's ridiculous that there is no PvP activity that will get you these items.

I wouldnt be opposed to that I guess, but it could likely broaden the sets people would use if they hate running the dungeon or still don't have a group able to complete it which is helpful. An alternative that would work out is to have the sets BoE again imo.

I had to run City of Ash I on normal 4 times, and WGT on normal 3 times for BSW Inferno and SPC resto. Sad part is that I don't use them. Now, how many times have I tried to get that combat physician shield...Hm...
