So... how is PvP?

Pvp sucks. Cyro is dead besides vivec which is a laggy *** mess. Bgs is broken and just filled with proc sets and now enchant abusers.

Pvp is in an absolutely horrible state right now and I would never suggest it to anyone. Which is sad because it was at one point the only thing I did in this game

I’ve been having fun but on Thailand time. Stamplar feels good, no cheese, just regular old ravager, BP and bloodspawn. But there’s a lot less lag due to low pops and I find less people cheesing on off hours. Tend to get a lot of high ping players who generally seem to be an honest bunch that appreciate a decent fight.

PvP is broken at the moment. This is not a good time to try to get into it.

All we can do is hope they hotfix the enchant changes and revert back to how it was before. If not then find a different game or stick to PvE.

Firstly don't be put off by those complaining about balance and the state of pvp in comparison to previous patches. There's nothing to stop involvement now in pvp regardless of its flaws.

Secondly you need to decide to what level you want to play and what types of activity to engage in.

These choices generally involve:
i. Do I want to play in a group setting
ii. How serious do I want to take pvp

Based on these answers you will be able to tell how best to proceed.

If you want to play solo and try it seriously rather than just casually playing for fun then class/spec maters way more than if you want to just turn up to some faction sieges / casually participate.

If you want to play with groups so that you can work together as part of a team again level of dedication is important too. There's groups of all abilities in cyro so finding one that suits your playstyle will be important and you can always learn and focus on improving from there.

As a general guide if you are just casually soloing. Find your faction groups and just tag along doing your thing. Try and stay around but not on top of the friendlies.

Generally just gain experience and make your decision how to proceed from there. I would say group pvp is easier to get into but still hard to master so I would suggest starting there with a casual guild.

This may be the worse time to enter pvp, if you want to enter pvp with all the bug users, I suggest you wear as many shielding proc sets as possible, raise you resist as much as possible, and stack as many heals as possible. Damage secondary. Alternatively run around with a heal and purgebot That would make PvP a much better "experience" 99.999% of the time anyway lol

A very good advice. After joining a casual PvP guild you will learn more about PvP in a week than you would in long, frustrating months without it

A buddy of mine told me, ramp up the damage, don’t worry about dying, and WRECK people. No matter how crappy the patch.
