✭✭✭Bias poll aside, let's try and put this in a more productive light for 1 second.
We're only measuring NB DPS in this equation and absolutely nothing else. In terms of pure damage, NB is at the top but in terms of utility, they offer next to nothing as of Murkmire since Funnel+Refreshing got nerfed so from a certain point of view, that is balanced gameplay. The extra Weapon Crit from NBs is easily countered by every class having a unique buff themselves, leaving nothing else a NB can realistically offer to a group (other than a laughable 2 seconds of Major Expedition). No synergies, no more off heals, no group buffs outside the aforementioned Weapon Crit and Major Expedition, nothing. The only way that NB DPS can be lowered would be to provide them with more utility in exchange for it.
Say for example, Grim Focus and morphs lost 50% of the damage from Spectral Bow procs but in exchange could provide the group with Minor Berserk for 20 seconds. Would this be fair? NB DPS numbers would go down but they get a decent utility, one that is even better than Combat Prayer since it lasts more than twice as long and doesn't need to be aimed to grant the buff. Is killing Combat Prayer worth it though? Does making another skill, that has been pretty much mandatory for Healers to run since its inception, suddenly being made nearly redundant, worth lowering NB DPS and making them just as mandatory to group compositions as they currently are because of their over the top DPS? Would it be fine to revert the nerfs made in Murkmire now that NB DPS got reduced?
Ofc, that is all hypothetical because ZOS would never be so meticulous with their "balance" adjustments. Still, it's something to think about.Argonian forever2 -
