I do not believe "end game" in its use for mmos is a subjective term. What you chose to do and what goals you place for yourself is another thing altogether.

End game has ALWAYS only ever meant the apex of player progression in regards to character power and obtaining win conditions set in place by the developers for which said progression has the biggest influence.

For endgame, as in most challenging, it will in every game always be PVP of course, as we havent got any arteficial intelligence. But after that I, guess u are right:)

In my mind, end game PvP is either succesful solo play, or highly coordinated small/medium group play.

In PvE, it's Vet trials all the way up to and including HM vet trials and all of the +1,2,3 etc.

Vet DLCs, Maelstrom, and DSA kinda straddle that line between Mid-game and End-game.

This is only from my perspective though.

My end game is playing Diablo 2 single player holy grial mode (I still need a Griffon's Eye for my Javazon and or my Lighting Sorc :P ) while I wait for some normal or vet Trial group to form on any of my almost dead ESO guilds.

Luckily I joined a new guild recently that do trials each Saturday, so at least I can count on that

End Game is when I am no longer having fun. A previous mmo nerfed my main due to a drop only 1 percent could get (Monk Nerf! ) but still played another year raising my kos race characters faction with almost all towns. When I can't find something to enjoy in a game, that's end game.

Over the years my aim has been endgame PVE but after guilds and friends quit, I have been soloing some veteran and most normal dungeons. I also traded and enjoyed housing (built a huge tree house from scratch).

I am concerned about Nerfmire since sorcerers won't be able to survive as well as other classes (based on my PTS experience). So my plan is doing remaining quests and coming back later when there's more to do. After all soloable PVE content will be more limited with upcoming changes

    Depends on the game.

In ESO - their having only released warden with Morrowind - I'm still finishing the horse feeding grind again, but have finished it for most of them and have started playing.

When I settle on a main I'll play them through all of the solo content. Plus there's farming skill points and lore books for the others. Of course there's also dailies, dalies, dalies.

At some point I may bother with PvP. Or not. Presently I love warden in theory but find them very limited in practice. Being magicka'ly inclined, 4 class damage abilities plus about half a dozen outside the class doesn't offer much variety.

Dungeons don't appeal. The reward is sets and shoulder / helm pieces which take away control of my appearance. No thanks. And they're not immensely fun in their own right.

In City of Heroes which at launch had no "end game" as it's called, there were regular costume contests, which I won more than a few of. Also taking my healers or controllers into Perez Park to help lowbies level. Or just flying around randomly helping random players with random buffs or heals. That was a pleasant and satisfying way to pass the time. I subscribed for that.

Well, I'm not real thrilled either - especially as pet classes (PVE specifically) work best for me with 2000 ms lag. Having both nerfed is.... painful. However, I will just take it slow until I see what can be done to mitigate....

I love ESO, so I'm not leaving.

I almost always quit MMOs at endgame since I don't do the "endless dungeon gear chase hamster wheel" thing or PVP.

Thanks to champion points and a million quests, I'm not at the end yet. Unlike other MMOs, ESO has very little "fun" or sandboxy theme park stuff to do or achieve unlike WoW or Korean MMOs. I'll leave then.

Interesting question @Tasear, I've been in 'endgame' raiding both in WoW and tsw. I liked it but it came to a point that I was having a second job. I love to improve myself with new challenges but I find that raiding just takes the soul out of a game when done multiple times.

Eso however doesn't feel like it has a proper endgame though. The raids are great don't get me wrong, but I think there isn't much incentive to do it other than gear and achievements. There are a few housing stuff tied to ach but honestly there isn't much imo. I think endgame here is purely cosmetic honestly.

Zos should change abit of the endgame gear though so as it cannot be changed cosmetically. Make it awesome looking, whatever. Make pvp leader boards not just tied to titles or housing, make it so they can buy exclusive gear that looks good but unable to transmorg.

I like the events but it's just grinding stuff. How about a proper faction vs faction overland? Like maybe a strength test like an arena with an npc and the more players of a certain faction defeat it, players then will receive an ach. There isn't really faction pride within eso to be honest, other than pvp.
