Endgame for me is the last 15 minutes right before the server's shut down for maintenance and I am trying to finish whatever it was I was doing in time.

Or the last day before the permanent server shut off.

Primarily solo here and all PvE.

My end game is soloing a fair number of normal group dungeons and soloing most non-DLC WBs. I don't mind grouping sometimes with others or even pugging but only for content that I know I can solo.

Zero interest in: DLC dungeons, DLC WBs, NMA/VMA, Trials, PvP. No real complaints as there is plenty of content I do enjoy. I do worry about about possible future changes though. If, for example, non-DLC WBs and dungeons get amped up, that destroys my end game as a solo PvE player and I'm probably gone.

Try Duoing content too, sometimes its more fun than soloing. I duoed nBloodroot with a friend and it was a blast to get done.

Great idea and I agree. I actually do sometimes duo with a friend using discord. The ability to coordinate a duo is nice and simple. In fact we started our trek to soloing some of the non-DLC normal dungeons by duoing them first. For a once in awhile change of pace, I rather do enjoy going out with that friend as a duo. I find duoing pretty compatible with soloing - you still need a char who can take a boss in the face, deliver adequate dps and some heals. The only reason I ever 4 pug normals sometimes is to fully flex my tank (who can be a bit tedious in pure solo) and, to a lesser extent, my healer (who can solo pretty well).

Depending on how you want to word it there is no end-game, or the whole game is end-game.

I've played MMOs on and off since Ultima Online was released, but my mentality is much more influenced by single-player games. To me the end is the point where you'e done everything and have to stop playing, if there's still stuff to do then you haven't gotten to the end. So end game content is an oxymoron.

In practice that means I don't really separate out different kinds of content and do it in order. I don't use open-world maps to level up and then abandon them for dungeons and trails or PvP. I do a bit of everything as and when I feel like it, but I'm mainly focused on doing all the PvE quests and getting 100% completion on all the maps because that's what I enjoy most. Getting to level 50 was an interesting footnote but it didn't mean I had to stop what I was doing and start something else, I think I was actually in the middle of a delve at the time and I collected the reward and carried on. When I eventually get to CP160 it'll be the same, and I doubt I'll ever hit the CP cap because I don't play enough and they keep raising it.

For me it has been really hard to completely focus on an activity and not get bored of it, or see new opportunities in which to invest the only really limited resource in the game, which is your own spare time. Shorty after I began playing this game I was after dungeon achievements and such on my then single character in a single role, which was basically dungeon tank, but I hardly did any PvP. Then I started diversifying into multiple classes, characters and and roles and stopped being concerned about the former, which shows from about Horns of the Reach onward. Shortly before Wolfhunter I simply dropped out of group activities altogether and concentrated towards crafting, trading & solo/small scale/BGs PvP; since late June I haven't even entered a dungeon, including the new ones. One full month, overlapping Midyear Mayhem, was PvP only, on 6 characters. Once I'm done optimizing the crafting related processes I will probably return to a PvE/PvP mix, but more focused on the latter than before. There are some activities I completely avoided, such as housing - I only own the 5 free rooms and the Psijic Villa that stay nearly empty, save the storage coffers - or making outfits for my characters which I considered unnecessary - I do dye the armors and they look pretty good. Any of those activities can be considered "end game" if you prioritize, and perform them effectively.

Same as many others, end game is end of game when it no longer interests me or is shut down.

Until that point I'll do a bit of everything and anything and just enjoy the game for being the game I enjoy.

Like some have said, I don't do endgame on online games, unless the game closes down...lol. CoH is still raw for me..sorry.

I don't look to "finish", I look for personal goals and try and meet them, and when I do, I look for others. It puts me far behind the number crunchers who find the 1/100 of a percent in damage or defense to be that much better (not knocking, I admire those guys), but when I am really playing....been on a hiatus recently.....there are few who know more about content than I do.

Endgame....it isn't really a place within the game for me. But what do I know, I still play Skyrim and Fallout4! 5 minutes before coming to here and writing this, I was checking out an old Ultima Online server that is still up!

I'm not sure I'd want an "End Game". It's much better to feel that you're always "mid-game" and there's just as much to look forward to, as look back to.

On the other hand, I would like to look back on the grindy stuff.

I guess it has to be buying then decorating my houses. Everything I'm doing goes to that end. Right now I'm working to finish zones so I can buy the achievement furnishings. Then I'm learning to make more gold so I can afford those furnishings as well as the stuff from the weekly vendor in Coldharbour.

I think I'm enjoying that so much because I've never been able to afford a nice place to live or nice furniture. At least I can have that in the game for my pixel extensions of myself :)

Well is hard to say in ESO, because here you can do w/e you want and still get rewards. So my end game is everything, depending on my mood.

If this were WoW, it would obviously have to be raid or DIE and everything before max lvl is irrelevant. ESO lets you choose your end game every day it can be something different.

Pretty much the same as the rest of the game-- keep questing until I get sick of my main, then move on to alts to see other parts of the story/make different decisions.

When I hit what I think of as endgame, it's when I'm sick of all my alts. Or the annoyances I've tolerated since I've started playing the game start to outweigh the fun and enjoyment I'm finding. Then I get burned out and leave.
