Has this game ever been more zerg-friendly?

Your hating zerg on cyro. Ffs why. Alliance war ring a bell. Its not group war. Its not solo war. Armies win wars. Not a small group. Never a one man army.

Play the other tes games. If you want to be a one man army.

Play bg with a group for fun.

Dont bring that shittie thinking in cyro.

    FFS!!!!

I don't hate the disorganized zergs. Unless the EP zerg potatoes up to Bleakers or Alessia, licks the door, fails to set down or protect the few siege we have, and then we all wipe to reinforcements because we didn't flag the objective...

Then I think dark thoughts about the Ebonheart Potatoes.

Sometimes you need that door-lick buff though.

Looking at the live PTS on Nerfmire, it seems as though what some have been saying for a couple of years is finally true - solo and small group play is dead.

The last year of PVP in ESO has been a snipe-fest, and/or a steel tornado fest with some Zaan and Sload’s throw in for good measure.

This isn’t a matter of git gud anymore. It’s group up and spam, or die.

Very close to moving on, though not yet. I am planning on seeing what actually transpired with Murkmire and beyond. Anyone else feel the same frustrations?

Guild Wars 2 to answer your question.

I really find this thread lasting this long is kind of silly. Anyone who thinks this game is more zerg friendly now than any other time is fairly new.

Heck, Zergs are small these days. In the early days of this game zergs would often consist of at least two full groups and Pulsar was the preferred skill.

Zergs in both size and numbers pale compared to 2014. Really sad to see people incorrectly think the are so bad now. LOL.

You must not have seen Army of the Pact running 80 deep a few nights ago :P

Wow, a few nights ago. lol. I am talking ever single day. Not here an there. I am also talking about they often had no goals other than running around in a train farming AP, not sieging or defending.

Of course it is no longer possible to obtain the numbers we had in Cyrodiil back then. The caps are far smaller than they were back then.

lolol only reason things arent like that now is because when you have like 60 eps vs 60 dc, or ad, half of the people are rotating in and out of the campaign because of lag and crashing. And werent the player caps bigger back then? And even if they werent i really dont think there are as many people in cyrodil now..

I mean sometimes i find camps not even pop locked on the weekends or at prime time.. There was a time that i used to wait in a 200 que to get into haderus.. Havent seen that in a long time.. Maybe the double ap event..

The way that i interpret the ops post, yes im assuming, is that the game is benefiting players being in a group more than ever. Like ive said in this thread multiple times, personally, i have no issues with zergs or zerg players. My issue is with zos nerfing things that make it much harder for solo players to exist. It is already a huge challenge playing solo/small group. There is zero need to nerf everything in the game that helps a solo player.. Like with murkmire.. Speed pots and forward momentum getting nerfed so much hurts small scale players the most. And they took such a big hit, so unnecessary.

Let me put it like this. You should be able to outplay people in this game. You used to be able to. Bad players shouldn't win because of garbage mechanics, nerfs, and stupid broken proc sets. And yes, at certain point you cannot win.. Of course.
But when does it go too far? When is the point where skill doesnt matter in this game at all, and all that matters is if you run some stupid broken build? Is it too much when 3 cp 160s can beat a day one, good, pvp player because theyre running stacking proc sets, while tanking, and snaring the person to death?

We arent there yet but i dont think we are too far off. Personally i just think its sad when you arent even given the chance to outplay someone while not running the same thing as everyone else.. And if you are going to tell me that the ability to outplay people has not changed then you are lying because it has drastically changed. It used to be competitive. Now the only competition is who has more numbers or who has more healers and broken sets...
