PTS Patch Notes v4.2.3

ZOS_GinaBruno

The Elder Scrolls Online v4.2.3 includes further tweaks to Annulment and Conjured Ward, among other abilities and item sets, in addition to reducing the duration of Major Expedition granted from potions. There are also several fixes and adjustments for the areans in Blackrose Prison, and additional fixes for the Mac game client and other areas of the game. The size of this patch is approximately 196MB.

Halls of Fabrication

• Refabricated Spheres will no longer be shielded when they spawn in Normal Difficulty.
• Refabricated Spheres' Venom Burst ability will no longer apply Venom Injection in Normal Difficulty.

Figure

• Naga now have the appropriate eye highlight.

Monsters

• Improved the appearance of the base of Vine-Tongues and Stranglers that appear in Murkmire.
• Traps and deadly plants in Murkmire are now even more deadly.

Blackrose Prison

• General
  • The icon for Blackrose Prison will now display if you have the proper access.
  • Increased the requirement for the Blackrose Buccaneer and God of the Gauntlet achievements to 40 minutes.
• Arena 1: Derelict Prison Yard
  • Battlemage Ennodius will now call down additional meteors when the ability is cast on Veteran Difficulty.
  • Increased the health of Battlemage Ennodius in Veteran Difficulty.
• Arena 2: Hall of Beasts
  • The Crocodile’s Sweep attack will now do lower damage initially, but has an added damage over time.
  • Reduced the rate at which the Spiders’ Venomous Spit ability increases in damage with successive stacks.
  • Increased the health of Tames-the-Beast in Veteran Difficulty.
  • When Tames-The-Beast summons allies, he will now enrage any previous summoned allies that are still alive on Veteran Difficulty.
• Arena 3: Vampire’s Pen
  • Lady Minara's Batswarm will now be cast on her current target rather than the farthest target.
  • When Lady Minara summons allies, she will enrage any previous summoned allies that are still alive on Veteran Difficulty.
  • When a Bone Colossi is active, Lady Minara will now be shielded from taking damage.
  • Infusers can now target Lady Minara with Infuse Undead.
• Arena 5: Drakeeh’s Cage
  • Spirit Ignition will now also cause your character to explode, in addition to the Ghosts.
  • Drakeeh the Unchained will now do more damage the more spirits he absorbs.

General

• Fixed an issue where the tooltip for the Marshmist Palescale Skin collectible noted it was acquired by completing the "God of the Gauntlet" achievement. It is actually acquired by completing the "Blackrose Prison Conqueror" achievement.
• The tooltip for Target Voriplasm no longer refers to it as a Wraith.
• Murkmire books will now appear more often in bookshelves and book stacks found in Murkmire.

Mementos

• Corrected the cooldown of the Fire Rock memento.

Furnishings

• Fixed an issue where Blacksmithing, Woodworking, and Jewelry Crafting stations attuned to the new Murkmire sets could not be retrieved once placed.
• Improved the appearance of the "Timid Vine-Tongue" furnishing.
• Fixed an issue where an “Argonian Bedroll, Woven” found in the Lakemire Xanmeer Manor could not be selected in the housing editor.
• Moved the “Tree, Huge Ancient Banyan” into the Huge Trees category, because it is huge in size, and is also a tree.
• Updated the visuals for the furnishing “Rocks, Mossy Marsh Cluster” to no longer appear hollow when viewed from certain angles.
• Added lore details to various furnishings associated with Murkmire achievements.

Homes

• Adjusted the door names in the Lakemire Xanmeer Manor to be specific to the home.
• Fixed some graphical issues found in Lakemire Xanmeer Manor, including issues with the water found therein.

Quests

• Old Enemies: Your progress will no longer be blocked if you’re sharing this quest, and one finishes burning the crates while the other is out of sharing range.
• The Remnant of Argon: You will no longer miss a large portion of the quest if you go through the wrong gate.
• The Swamp and the Serpent: You will now be required to wait until the scene with Kassandra is finished before progressing.

General

• Updated icons for a variety of Murkmire and Blackrose Prison achievements.

• The Argonian Behemoth's Enraged Scream in the Vault of Umbrage will no longer affect player pets.

Achievements

• Fixed a number of issues with the Achievement to learn the Huntsman style which prevented the achievement from being earned or displayed properly.

General

• Fixed an issue where using the Blade of Woe would display the Crowd Control Immunity effects on dead, unfortunate NPCs.
• Made some improvements to certain knockback abilities, such as Uppercut and Flame Touch, to ensure they correctly knock enemy targets off ledges and walls.
• Fixed an issue where you could still attempt to cast abilities like Petrify or Rune Prison against enemies that were immune to crowd control from the Unstoppable ability or Unstoppable potions.
• Conjured Ward and Annulment will now calculate their damage shield value taking Battle Spirit into account before the shield is capped. This means in Cyrodiil, a player with 20k health will have a shield cap of 8k instead of 4k.
  • Known Issue: Tooltips for this are not currently correct.

Dragonknight

    • Shattering Rocks (morph): Updated the tooltip of this morph to indicate it deals damage.

Sorcerer

• Dark Magic
  • Negate Magic: Fixed an issue where this ability and its morphs were not applying their stun to monsters correctly.
• Daedric Summoning

    • Hardened Ward (morph): This morph now also increases the shield cap to 50% of your Max Health (previously 40%), and now also gives the 20% shield value bonus to your pets as well.

Templar

• Aedric Spear
  • Focused Charge
    • Toppling Charge (morph): Fixed an issue where this morph was not stunning the enemy target after you interrupted them.

Armor

• Light Armor
  • Annulment
    • Dampen Magic: This morph now also increases the shield cap to 50% of your Max Health, previously 40%.
• Medium Armor
  • Evasion: Reduced the cost of this ability and its morphs by 15%.
• Heavy Armor
  • Immovable: Reduced the cost of this ability and its morphs by 15%, and reduced the duration of the crowd control immunity buff granted to 4 seconds from 5 seconds.

Item Sets

• Arms of Relequen: Fixed an issue where the damage over time effect from this Item Set could proc other abilities and Item Sets that trigger on melee damage.
• Balorgh: Fixed an issue where this Item Set was not working with certain Ultimate abilities.
• Mantle of Siroria: Fixed an issue where weapon swapping out of this Item Set’s 5-piece bonus was causing you to lose the Spell Damage bonus.
  • This fix also applies to the Perfected version of the Item Set.
• Merciless Charge: Fixed an issue where the damage over time effect from this Item Set could critically strike.
• Razor Shot: The damage done from this Item Set will now ignore mitigation, and its name has been changed to Virulent Shot.
• Soldier of Anguish: This Item Set’s 5-piece bonus has been redesigned:
  • OLD: When you deal damage with a melee attack, you have a 25% chance to traumatize your enemy, negating their next 5500 points of healing for 4 seconds. This effect can occur once every 4 seconds.
  • NEW: Your melee light attacks have a 25% chance to place a ring on the ground that explodes after 1.25 seconds, applying 4800 Health Absorption to all enemies hit for 4 seconds, negating the next 4800 points of healing done. This effect can occur once every 6 seconds.
  • Known Issue: The new visual effects of this Item Set are not currently displaying at all.
• Stinging Slashes: Reduced the bonus granted to each tick of Twin Slashes to 1350 extra damage from 1500.
• Winterborn: Fixed an issue where the snare effect from this Item Set was bypassing snare immunity.

General

• Motif Chapters and Survey Reports no longer have a required level displayed.
• Reduced the duration of Major Expedition granted from potions, to be more in line with other powerful Major buffs such as Major Vitality.
  • For a potion at maximum rank, this reduces the duration of Major Expedition from 40.6 second to 12.5 seconds, before any modifications from things such as enchantments or passives.
  Developer Comment:
  Due to the pass on mobility, we wanted to ensure you couldn't readily keep this buff active 100% without spending more attention to it. Due to the old duration of this buff from potions, these were a direct conflict with that vision.

Homes

• Fixed some minor issues that could result in your character becoming stuck in the Enchanted Snow Globe Home.
• Smoothed down some terrain, and removed scores and grid marks in the ground in the Enchanted Snow Globe Home.
• Updated some bushes to be furnishings in the Enchanted Snow Globe Home.

Mac Game Client

• Fixed some issues that would cause the changing between resolutions and full screen to windowed mode to result in a lower than desired resolution.
• Fixed an issue that was causing colors to display incorrectly in various UI elements.
• Fixed an issue that was preventing in-game clutter assets from displaying correctly.
• Fixed an issue that was causing a crash upon launch for certain display settings.
• Fixed an issue that was causing the screen to stretch incorrectly in windowed mode.

Addons

• Fixed an issue that caused the Addon Script Profiler to sometimes treat functions from different files, but on the same line number, as if they were the same function.
• Fixed issue that allowed addons to set your current quickslot to things that cannot be quickslotted.

Crown Store

• Fixed an issue where opening the Crown Store and performing a search would not work correctly if you hadn't opened the Crown Store before.
• Fixed an issue where performing searches rapidly in the Crown Store could kick you to the login screen.

Guilds & Guild Traders

• Fixed an issue if a Guild Trader changed ownership while you were looking at it, the guild name on the unit frame would not update.

Help & Tooltips

• Fixed an issue where the tutorial pop-up that appears when you first acquire Event Tickets noted you can only hold 10 at a time. This was incorrect - you can hold 12 at a time.
• Book Stacks found in the world now have consistent tool tips.
