Those of us with tails would have "issues" :)

Actually... it wouldn't be uncommon for races to include gear restrictions. Elder Scrolls 3, Morrowind: Kitty Kats and Lizzy Lizzys could not wear foot gear, because of their inverted legs. You could wear any other armor, but my Khajiit would be barefoot. It's been a while, but I think they couldn't wear full helms either, because of their facial features. ESO however, has address this issue by making racial motifs. I'd imagine capes wouldnt be all vanilla, but instead, would still follow particular motifs.

Realistically, I wouldn't want a heavy cape pressed up against my tail, so I might opt out of a cape, unless there are other options like...

Tails could simply only wear the two-tale style of capes. Orrr your cape could just vanish when wearing a cape, that would also be an option? Tail or cape, you gotta choose lol

    We want capes~°· :)

Sure, everyone needs a board attached to their shoulders and pasted to their backside clipping through helms, pauldrons, weapons, shields, and various pieces of scenery they are moving past. And possibly lagging everything worse than it already is just so some people can pretend to be a superhero.

Please, speak for yourself. "We" don't want capes. You do.

This is incorrect, a vast majority of players want capes even if they are boards. It's a proven fact.

I watched a GDC talk from one of the ESO animators about the development of the game and he said they were limited in the number of bones they could use on character models for performance reasons. One of the casualties in this trimming of the bones was capes. They used a couple of the former cape bones to animate the tails on Khajiit and Argonians.

In short, they are impossible to impliment in this game without destroying performance or aesthitics.

I dunno, if they implemented capes the same way capes were done in assassins creed with normal animations (no physics) then the performance hit probably wouldn't too bad but there would still be clipping issues with armor and especially with weapons.

Different engine, how eso is coded makes it tough to add capes that WORK.

I didn't suggest which individual bumped the thread. Your reply to my post makes no sense. Dude.
