Pretty sure my mount knows how to swim!

Sick of getting dismounted every time I hit a tiny section of water that's too deep. I don't mind the slow speed, just let me stay on my mount.

Apparently magically summoned mounts don't function in water..... wonder if its like the "vampires can't cross running water" idea......

You can swim in complete heavy armor but naked on a mount it doesnt work.
All chars need to be superhumans/mers/kahjiits and fat af as well so our mount would drown even if its a tiny bosmer girl without armor^^

Someone correct me if I’m wrong but in the Vanilla version of Skyrim could your horse swim? Or am I thinking of the “all animals can swim” mod I got for it?
Why did anyone think it was a great idea to dismount your horse when you went into deep waters I’ll never know-
And where does the horse go/come from when it disappears or we summon it 0-0?

It is annoying, especially when it's a small patch of relatively shallow water, like crossing a river, but one part is just deep enough that you'd be swimming and if your mount touches it you're dismounted completely.

It would be nice if there was a bit more leniency - like you have to be in deep water for several seconds before being dismounted. But I'm not sure how hard that is to program.

I laugh every time it happens in one of the streams in Craglorn. The "river" might be 10 feet wide, but the center of it is super deep for about a foot.

That's why I just have my mount hurdle all questionable bodies of water just in case.

YESSSSSS, I am pretty sure fording water can be done by any animal.

This, jump, and streak are a couple of quality of life animation fixes I would love to see added.
