"Damage shields from multiple sources cannot be stacked" Wait what..

Does this mean what I think it means? I don't see anything like this mentioned anywhere else on the patch notes.

    It means you cannot cast two sources of igneous shields or bone shields and get the total of both, in my reading.

    oh good, scared me lol i thought they werent letting us shield stack and keeping the one sec cast time

    I'm sure it's multiples of the same type of shields. For instance, two healing wards or two barriers.

    I see this as a subtle admission that the only reasonable counter to this set is damage shields. And yet all of the most powerful ones were just severely nerfed. They could not have picked a worse time to add this set to the game.

    Shield stacking still works on PTS, confirmed. Though not sure why anyone would want to shield stack with the long activation time.

    It is likely a poorly worded explanation or an accidental omen of what is to come.

    They said that shields are meant for heavy armor tanks when the game doesnt even allow you to use a shield in heavy armor because it requires 5 pieces of light armor. Not sure what kind of sense did you expect to make by reading developer comments.

    Only one shield has that requirement for obvious reasons. Of all the shields in the game only one requires wearing light armor. A DK and sorc have access to at least two shields regardless of the armor they have equipped. Everyone else has access to at least one shield.

    And you'd have a point if all the shields were getting a cast time. But the only universal shield that got a cast time is the one that requires 5 pieces of light. Which makes this whole situation even more stupid.
