Just a few words before: I'm playing a magSorc as my main. PvP and PvE End-Game-Content. Mostly non-CP PvP.

I do dislike this Shield stacking Sorcs too. But this change, like it is now on PTS is just not balanced through PvE, PvP CP and non-CP PvP.

There are many good examples why the casttime would affect gameplay in a bad way, like the incoming damage in PvE which is getting higher each patch. But there are server issues too. Imagine to go vMOL and going into the backyard, with invisible bubbles and without insta shield...

But anyway, why can't we just find a way to solve shield stacking, which is balanced through every content. Like:

Create a new minor and major buff category. Shields which are applied to yourself gain minor, like sorc shield and light armor shield.
Shields like bubble ulti or shields applied from one person to others get major buff.
Then just add what you now did with crusher: only the bigger value will overwrite the minor or major shield buff.

Sure, it's much work because you need to look at all sets and rework everything. But the easiest way like the way it is now is not always the best way.

With such a change like mentioned above:
Shield stacking in PvP: problem solved
PvE and non-CP PvP wouldn't be affected in a bad way + any class would have access to the same amount of shields, which would balance the whole thing in a better way, in my opinion.
