While we appreciate what you try to do for the community this patch clearly shows you are a joke to ZoS and that they use you to appear like they want to listen to the community that plays thier game.

I don't know what people were expecting

Back in 2014, ZOS had the Guild Summit, invited all those guilds to see Imperial City and other things. Promised to listen to all their feedback, IC was nothing like it was shown to them, and all those guild leaders were made to look like fools, and most exited the game afterwards(I knew 3 of them that went, so I know 1st hand what they were shown)

Next, ZOS invites Sypher, Deltia, Fengrush, and all the big names to ZOSD head quarters before Morrowind to get their feedback. ZOS didn't listen to a word they said, and instead march right on forward with their agenda causing most of the top streamers to quit and cut bait.

Lastly, ZOS starts their Class Rep sham program, I feel bad for the Class Reps, but they shoulda known better than to trust ZOIS would listen to them when ZOS has a storied history of doing the exact opposite. Sure enough i predicted to a tee that ZOS would largly ignore their class reps and march forward with their agenda.

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me, won't be a 3rd time. Reason why I haven't been playing much as of late is because I was waiting to see what they would do (canceled my sub weeks ago and not re-newing) boy am i glad I didn't let them charge me.

I don't blame the Class Reps at all, they probably knew they were going to be duped, but they love the game so much they had to take the chance to try and help save it. Two Years ago, I would have wanted to be where they are and trying to help, but by the time ZOS started this program, I simply didn't care at all, not even in the least.

To the Class Reps, no worries. I know you folks did what you could, and thank you.

Our eyes once were blinded, now through him do we see. Our hands once were idle, now through them does he speak. And when the world shall listen, and when the world shall see, and when the world remembers, that world will cease to be. - Miraak

Sadly I think this is the case. Please don't yell at the reps for these changes. I don't really know that I agree with how the class rep system is being handled but at least some good has come of it.

I wish the reps could work with ZOS on some high level "Balance principles" instead of being so focused on whether an individual skill is OP or not.

These patches are rough on us because they are all over the place. A huge buff, then a huge nerf. I'd rather them work on a balance philosophy like the following.
    • Powerful skills are good for the game. Every class should have a few "OP" Skills"
    • Homogenization is less fun, Intangeble skills are better.
    • Avoid Nerf Collateral damage. eg. nerfing ALL sustain skills, or nerfing similar skills to make them consistent with other nerfs.
    • Buffing other skills that counter an "OP" skill, is a better option that nerfing that skill.
    • Cast times and cooldowns make this game less fun and should be avoided at all costs. Delayed effects are better.

    Stuff like that.

Maybe we should put a one sec cast time on class reps.

If they really wanna represent the community they'll boycott the PVP balance team by quitting

I feel it to be a start of a combination. ^^ One-second shield cast time is a throwaway nerf, serves both to distract attention from other nerfs, and to sacrifice during PTS cycle with a word that the reps have convinced ZOS to drop that change. Hip hip hooray, reps (not accusing them in knowing participation) are victorious and reinstated as a trusted vox populi again, benevolent (but slightly myopic) ZOS isn't a slightest bit a tyrant anymore, other changes went through almost without protests and have been forgotten, and peace is restored. ^^

(Yes; yes, too many detective stories. But what a twist! ^^)
