With cast time on shields - what's it like in vMA? It's not just the time lost to casting that concerns me, but the cumulative reduction of dps in order to shield. Has anybody done vMA in the PTS?

The Crematorial Guard in the last round comes to mind as a shield intensive phase.

I'll go try it at some point tonight, but you know that the correct play is to kill it before it breathes fire, right?

@Erraln , not everyone's capable of it. ^^ Sometimes you're chasing a ghost or whatnot. Or just not enough damage output; things can be different.

Yes, I know to burn him quick. Or burn the boss to 70% to avoid at beginning etc., but first timers who haven't beaten it aren't so proactive to begin with.

Proactive shields in a reactive environment worries me, not just for myself but newer people customers who need them to survive mistakes.

Well, who cares about new players who want to clear difficult content for the first time.

i've cleared vMA a couple of times without any shield slotted... but you know it was on magden when i've been testing

ridiculous non-meta *ice mage* build (winterborn/torug 5/1/1 light armor)...actually it was soo easy that made me double

check is it really vet in settings =D

don't even want to imagine how it gonna looks like on sorc with 1sec shield casting =/

Just run around the Crematorium Guards. Fire breath will never touch you again. Close to them, the spin/turn slower than you can run around.
